Ive just discovered this thread and as an avid GT5 photographer, thought I would through my pictures into the mix. And I very much look forward to sharing my views on all the other pictures going forward.

I would like peoples' general opinion, honest mark out of ten and tips from improvement. Although please only tip if you have experience and your photos are of a good caliber as well. Thanks all!

I think this was the first shot I took, not sure if it's been in this thread yet :)
Cape%20Ring.jpg

The main object is a bit too blurred to me, and it's crowded on the left side as well. Otherwise, I like the frame and subject. 5/10. Would be 7/10 at least with a different panning mode.

Yeah, it's a bit too blurry for me too. However, you really can feel the speed of this M3.. ;) I would give it 6/10.

This is... Hmm. I like the photo, but looking at it, I kind of feel like a peeping tom who fancies cars. I do like though! 7/10

^Well the shot of the car is great. I love it... and the crashing going on behind it made me lol. 8/10.

Thanks, I had things blurred a bit on purpose. And I was trying to make it look like it was taken from a mounted camera. Plus I only found out about the panning mode options the other day :dopey:

great shot, made a ugly car look good after all (yes, I don't like BMW design) 8/10

here's mine, first shots using this filter that I've really liked

8/10 for both. Everything is too in focus. My eyes are bouncing around trying to find what I'm supposed to be looking at. However, I love the exposure, angles, and positioning.

Looks very realistic; looks like a proper rig shot. I like how you managed to get the shot with the wheels all blury spinning, but the focus is still on the car and is not blurry at all. Excellent color on the Italia, too. :)👍 7.8/10

nice car, great looking light effects but a bit too much dark 7.5/10

Cape%20Ring%20Periphery.jpg

9/10. The only thing I'm not particularly fond of is the wash of color. It all blends together well, but, to me, it leave it with less pop and style. A little more vibrant and it's an absolute money shot.

SpecialStageRoute5_2.jpg

And which one is better? I think I like the first better just because it seems like the car is absolutely FLYING around the corner.

I'll start rating skipped photos in a bit...

... @rx7ah I like the R8 shot, great detail and angle - 7/10. As for the VW shots, I honestly love them both. The blur in the 1st one is absolutely awesome but I also love the 2nd one with the better details. I'd go 9/10 for both, leaning towards the 1st as my favorite 👍

I guess I gotta put one up too...

Nice 7/10..the blur in the wheel puts me off a bit but still a nice photo

I like this one. 8/10

Go a bit easy on the blur tho, it doesn't seem gradual enough, and maybe its just me but the focus should be on the car (not clear enough). NONETHELESS, love the position and everything else.

Here are a few of mine (sorry don't know how to make them smaller)

so.....:indiff:

Please forgive my review if it doesnt make much sense as I am a newbie to photomode.

For the blue Ferrari above, I really like the concept of what the photographer is trying to capture. The cool hue of the car amongst all the puddles looks great. One thing that put me off slightly in the first pic is the angle of the picture, it just doesnt seem quite right and I caught myself looking down the street more than at the car.

First pic 7/10 Second pic 8/10

Here are my first attempts:

A proper review would be greatly appreciated since I am very intrigued by Photomode, and sincerely want to get better at it. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: All pictures, except last one, have been taken straight from online races.

I'm still pretty new to the photomode, and I'm certainly no expert in real life photography either!

That said, I really dig this shot, I'd rate it at 8/10. What I like most about it is how the locale is captured in the reflection on the car. As for criticism, I guess I would have zoomed out a little bit, and moved the camera ever so slightly to the right to get more of the locale into the shot.

Here are some of my attempts. Looking forward to hearing comments regarding overall shot composition, color, lighting and anything else you might feel like!

Pearls of Wisdom
A couple of Lotus Evoras show off their sparkling headlamps on Special Stage Route 7

I give #1 and #2 a 6/10, #3 a 7/10
#1 a nice drift, but the blur gives a feel that the car is going faster than it really is
#2 miniature filter is for making things mini, should not be used for a closer view
#3 everything is on focus, don't know where to look first, but it's a great shot

The car, color and track are great, but the eye wants to go to the bright fire works. As a composition its a 5/10. Remove the fire works and its a 8/10

I really can't fault the Ferrari F1 picture. I love it. The sense of speed is immense, and the fireworks in the background go well the Ferrari red. The only bone I would pick with it would be the exposure value. The red looks a touch dull. Great job overall!!

9/10

Guess you missed the part of the original post that said, "**If you don't rate the pictures before your post, Your photos are mostly not gonna be rated**."

At this point I'd say just skip it and stop giving them grief about it :indiff: They'll learn eventually ;)

The positives first: I like the angle, and the detail captured at the front of the car. It gives you a sense of this massive American muscle car coming at you.

I do not think the lighting effect was used well at all though, and neither was the 'fish-eye' effect.

4/10

yeah, but the original one was too dark, could even see the car was there
so I used the AE lock to get a brighter shot

you managed a shot with a big amount of detail, but the car blended with the background a bit, kinda strange 6/10

here's another ferrari

Nice shot with the fireworks in the background - maybe a bit more of the car could be included 8/10
