Yay! The Oxford Road Show was indeed the show that Craig Charles played Susan Willams, a "punk poet". I was going to make you get the "punk" bit but that would be mean. Congrats on that then.

OK! OOOKKAAAYYY what about this kids programme then?
Don't tell me Mr Google doesn't do it for you... I KNOW its easy to get the answer from what I've told you (I've had a mate find it easily just from what I've said on this forum. He's not even a Red Dwarf fan, but can use Google). Mr Google is your friend. Try the quote I keep repeating ad nauseum. Without the quote marks obviously. Possibly even put Rimmer's response to that line into google, maybe thrown in with Craig Charles' name... see what you get. What's that *****? Its easy now?

I've spent hours looking there.

He's only in a couple of three-word programmes - none of which (other than Asterix Conquers America) are kid's programmes and few of which were on at the right time to coincide with the rape allegations/trial.

Well he's at an advantage then - since this is nothing to do with Red Dwarf.

Sorry, not Space Cadets.

I promise its on that list I linked to. Its really not that hard. I don't get the difficulty given the extreme amount of help I've been. I promise you'll kick yourselves real hard.

It screened on Childrens BBC1. It was a childrens music programme. I've given you the first 2 words of it! I've even said them explicitly in a sneaky way as a clue in this very thread. You won't believe how funny it was initially when I thought you'd worked it out right at the start! VERY amazing fluke.

Bonus important clue: Craig didn't have to be actively working on the show in 1994, but his contract linking him to it certainly got cut. Hence the confusion about the timeline. Just use my clue, especially the quote. It seems wrong until you know its just a contractual thing. He was still technically sacked. I have a site I can link to later with a Red Dwarf quiz that happened to ask this very question, so I figured it was Red Dwarfy enough.

Now don't get flustered Famine. I thought I'd give you a nice hard question because I figured you knew everything. :sly:

Just say the word if you give up, but I'd hate to see that.

This gets the first two words (of three) of the children's programme we are looking for the name of in the first part of the question.
"Okay, well, um, let's get cracking, shall we, Dave? What's the starboard engine's thrust-to-input ratio, Arn?"

So, if the answer is What's that Noise? Can you tell me where the 2 words of that title appear in the quote above? I only see one!

Can we have a wholly Red-Dwarfy, not even slightly off-topicky and totally ungoogly question next?!!!

ACE: Okay, well, um, let's get cracking, shall we, Dave? What's the starboard engine's thrust-to-input ratio, Arn?
RIMMER: What's that?

First 2 words. Very funny when Famine said such a similar quote, I thought he was super smart-ass! Pity he was actually referring to:

ACE: Well, you can work it out: what's the craft's inertia rating?
RIMMER: I don't know.

Well done Small Horses. Good work.

Clarification: http://www.geocities.com/capecanaveral/5849/rd/quiz.html (question 6)

I don't know whether its Famine's or Small Horses' go now though. You both got half right!

Also, sorry if the question wasn't Red Dwarfey enough, and it wasn't meant to be Googley initially. I had a perception you guys knew EVERYTHING about Red Dwarf, you were knocking down the normal style questions like they were nothing! I thought I'd mix it up with a real bastard of a question. But I'll make it much more normal and easier if I have another go sometime. I Promise.

Maybe Famine & I could ask 1/2 a question each!

I'll start..... Famine can add the rest & neither of us will answer it!

What is the....

Ok then, its been a few days...so I'll finish the question too! :) Open to everyone!
Except me! :dopey:

What is the answer Rimmer gives when Ace asks "what's new with you Arn?" in Stoke me a Clipper?

Something to do with alphabetising alphabet soup and researching the history of pockets?

Lister "It says, *sniff* See *sniff* Dick *sniff* Run. *sniff* Run *sniff* Dick *sniff* Run. *sniff* Run *sniff* *sniff* *sniff* Home *sniff* Dick"

Rimmer "And that's the Cat equivalent of Shakespeare is it?" :D

I can't remember. I think he's just sitting on the bunk isn't he? Rimmer is on the exercise bike i think.

A little, maybe.

I've also been busy today, buying materials for the upcoming UKGTPIV event. Now I just need to build the units...

I will en-questionate soon. Promise.
