Preach on!!!. I almost never qualify at the top. But I would say that I am always there at the end of the race. I dont mean to brag either. But look at the replay of last nights race. Compare my tires to everyone elses. Seeing stuff like that gives me the confidence in my tuning. I'll admit that im not the fastest hot lapper. But these are endurance races.

Well, ummmmmm, just for you, I might just throw in a random endurance race at the end of the ITCC championship, not for points, just to give you that much more confidence. And, I admit, that I'm a pretty fast lapper, but, not quite as fast over the long runs. It's okay by me, but, I can definitely say that I ran like a second or two faster than anyone else at Indy, in qualifying. I didn't cut the corners or anything. Instead, I ran a very fast lap.

And, poles count for something. Some guys can win from pole... (No, not Sebastian Vettel, nope... :indiff:) there's Scott Pruett, (hehe, good implications there) and a few other drivers.

I won't brag, and say "No one else here is capable of a pole, because I take them all." I will say, though, "I've put some astonishing laps together in that Audi, and so has Seth, and so has Storm, but, he did it in the Viper.

But, I understand your point, because polarbear and I got on a really nice strategy at Fuji. I was almost sure that he was going to win, but, when he disconnected, losing his draft, it actually cost me a lot of time. Seth thought that my tire life was bad, but, in actuality, I saw you (DP guys) coming behind, and thought "I *DID* have a little slip up with Anthony at Suzuka, I'm going to clear the track, so I don't have another off. And, that strategy worked. I got a decent lead, put on mediums for the third stint, let Seth pass me, and followed him, using the draft to help me keep up. Then, with some time earned in pits, and a good set of softs on for the last stint, (on the same lap as Seth) I was good 'til the end, even though Seth was saying "Oh, my tires were risky at the end."

I'm pretty sure I had the winner's strategy there, but, I lost the margin of victory, just by losing the draft from Polar...

I like your series the way it is MrM. It really does force a lot of close battles no matter where you are in the race. With the endurance series, I dont have to worry and go all oit in the beginning. You pretty much have to be on your toes the entire race in your series. 👍

Back onto topic. I'd like to join GT next season for reasons previously mentioned. I know I will not be picking the Vette. Only cause I am running it in ALMS now. So I want to change it up. The only cars I dont have seat time with is the Audi and the 458. Leaning more towards the 458.

Yep! That's why I love it! You really CANT be patient! You need to get past them ASAP. I got quite lucky, if you watch the replay of the first race coming to the start, the orange focus stops... Literally stops.... So I was a good bit behind, that caution brought be back. The rest is history (I won! That was my first gtplanet series win!) and that sprint race.... The focus using the hand brake....the lack of logic, I will never understand. Maybe he thought he could drift it on racing softs? But I gained 4 spots there, and 2 cars were spinning around!

Wow! That was sooo off topic from rolex!

Mr. Offtopic is glad to be spreading his influence... :)

Regardless, any word on the 905?

That's the group c car, right? Isn't it crazy light? If it isn't, I may give it a consideration with James, I may not.

My tires weren't risky. I said that in my race report, if you read it. I said they were good for the amount of laps we had, but I could have gone faster in the first laps of my last stint, but I don't know if you read, i tuned my car for tire life, not all out fast laps. Driving that way is also a part of my strategy.

Is there tension in the Audi garage?!

No matter how much I've noted that there are now only 20 points separating us in the driver's championship, and that we've clinched the manufacturer's, it's like people still don't realize what I mean... :ouch:

I wish I was up there... At least I want to get a win this season!

And, it's not your fault. It's really, more the fault of the connection issues. I really wish you luck. You did great all weekend, but, it seems like you d/cd in the worst possible time in the Rolex race.

Yea, no kidding! I was in the lead and BAM! Ugh... Dedicated servers everyone! PD... Take notes! Lol, just kidding, but they would help...

Not even slightly...

And, okay, Seth won guys! Not me... I came very close. Congrats to my teammate, for helping me win the Manufacturer's title. I think we'll take our gloves off now, and go for the driver's championship?

Finishing order:

who is FH

FlyinHawaiian77, our newest racer in DP, who's planning to join you next season, in GT. Good luck to both of you. I think GT is a better fit for you, anyway, James.

But, FH certainly did start with a bang. He won his first race. So, good job Flyin!

I'll admit to not having a 40 point lead, because I don't plan on winning unfairly. I'd rather lose a great battle to my teammate, or long-term friend and opponent Storm, than win because of a mistake in points.

Someone figure out how to use colors...

i have added and double checked my work point are 100% correct

Strangely, I'm more interested with the fact that our calculations are completely different in GT driver's... Seth WAS 30 points behind, and then he beat me. How did I get 10 MORE points, after *SETH* BEAT ME?

I'm at 410 points, Seth's at 390, Storm's at 380! I promise you, I looked at the OP, and it's more up to date, than your "current" points are.

do you like what i did with AUDI for locking up the manufatuer championship

You used BMW colours (BMW M3 E30 touring car, for reference) to state that Audi won the Manufacturer's championship, and got the points wrong... COLOURS don't hide your mistakes, dude... They actually draw more attention to your mistakes.

i checked it ok please just trust my calculations please

Let's take a vote:

Seth, Storm, Polar, Damu, and all other GT drivers, do you want James to revisit the OP, and then revisit the points? Somehow, Storm LOST 10 points after finishing third, (without incident,) Seth gained no points, and I gained 30. *Seth* won. Honestly, James, they're WRONG.
