Edit; oops, sorry, I took spell check off U.K. English momentarily. *Never doing that again*

Lol! Dude come to school with me! You'll hear that ALL day long!

Just so im clear on this, someone mentioned the engine cant have any upgrades? As in no N/A build or add on parts?

My point exactly... You know how people are attracted to accents...? I could probably get any girl in your city with my "mix of everything accent," which involves a British, Canadian French accent, with little hints of Spanish and German. The German is getting stronger snd stronger, strangely...

You can upgrade whatever you want. There is no restriction.

Speaking of Suzuka, I did some offline testing earlier with a just bought ACR Viper. Used it at 480hp 1300kg for the ALMS specs. Was getting 2:03's. So with break in that thing can definitely get lower. Haven't tried out the other Viper at the specs of this series. But 2:01's sound about right.

Going by our standard of tuning, I was going the same pace as the SRT10 with 510 bhp, with 465 bhp in the ACR I was getting 2:02's

Okay, so what's everyone seeing from their tyres as they go around Suzuka? What times are you hitting and for how many laps are you able to stay on your tyres?

I haven't even tested there yet. Going by Nurb. Softs lasted 7 laps there. Suzuka is around the same amount of time per lap, just a couple seconds more. And it is a little less abusive to the tires, so I think 7 or 8 laps.

I think I can run quite nicely on Softs for about 6 laps, but I'm worried about my times not being good enough. 2:02's are roughly what I'm getting the first two laps, then the times drop off about a second or so per lap. I wouldn't really know too well though. I can't seem to go 6 laps on my own without messing up somwhere.

I've been breaking in those Vipers today. Man they handle good. I use LSD really low. So 5/10/11 I think is what I ran with. Getting 2:03's and they still are gaining power every time I test them. Don't shoot for super fast laps, just try to keep 3 laps within a second. Then the next 3 within 2 seconds (of your best). I pay close attention to the sector times. For instance- sector 1 at Suzuka; I know 54s are my fast lap with new tires, so 55's I shoot for in that first sector for every lap until the end of the stint when I know the tires are almost gone.

We need to get some practice time together, ive been racing corvettes since this thing came out and are very familiar with them. Im currently doing very well with the ZR1 in my other series, so if you need help understanding something or tuning the Z06 just let me know :)

I agree, well I need it more than I'd say. Now that I've finished my penultimate exam (last on Monday) I feel like I have some clear air to work with so you want to add me and message when this goes down.

By the way, at the moment my fastest time is 2:02:294, although I'm not sure on tyre wear because I always end up off the track a bit too often :(

Slow it down a bit... that's the *EXACT* fastest time I ran in the Audi, but, I scuffed the fronts in the hairpin, pulling a Kobayashi. (Literally, the front tires slipped a little, under the full weight, and the car reacted the exact same way as Kobayashi's F1 car...)

That's not very good for tire life. I got three laps in a row under 2:03, but, it's unrealistic, because the car was responding quicker than the tires had grip for, to run those times. It wasn't understeer or oversteer, but, the whole car's weight shifted and caused an epic loss of grip. The same thing's happening with my Hyundai in the Autocross...

You'd be surprised, how much slowing down will speed you up. My fifth run in Autocross, I ran a 71 second lap, while flooring it, and skidding the tires in every corner.... then, once I slowed it down a bit, I ran a 67.175.

Really, if you're going off the track at 2:02s, you could run 2:01s, with smooth enough driving...

Hey guys! My last post's still accurate and such, but, my new post is completely irrelevant..

So, Harrison and James are in my ITCC (International Touring Car Championship,) and I'll be having a photoshoot on Saturday. My question is whether you guys (people who are invited) would prefer Saturday BEFORE the Rolex race, or Saturday AFTER the Rolex race? I'm thinking about you, England...

I'm barely able to make it to ALMS and Rolex, and only for the next couple weeks am I going to be able to make WGTC and VLN since I don't have work. Count me out, sorry bro.

Naw, dude, I don't necessarily want you to join, I just want to do up a quick photoshoot. :) Anyone and everyone is WELCOME to join, but, not in any way obligated. That's not what GTP is about.

I haven't heard from Nitro about the VLN series. I hope it's still on, and I don't think I'd be able to do the touring car series you have melan, sorry.

It's looking like it'll be good fun. :) Join the thread, please, so you can read the second post and vote on a testing track, and vote on things later on. :)

Alright well do.

Thats a good time, especially if you can be consistent with it. My best the other day was a 2'01.8 but it still needs some tuning for the tire wear. In the ALMS series i think a 2'01.1 took the pole and these cars are very similar so i would expect around the same qualifying times.

Rolex is a little slower, in places, and faster on tighter tracks. So, if we ever went to Citta d'Aria or w.e that Italian place was....

Cote de azur? It's not Italian, its in Monaco, which is a very tiny Mediterranean country on the Mediterranean coast.

I was eluding to a previous GT track, that's not in GT5. If you're going to be specific, la Monacque isn't even a country, it's a principality.

Ahh getting technical, eh!

But back on topic (seems we get off quite a lot lol)

Who could practice tomorrow?
