Do I see a N*Gage on that shelving?

Greatest phone I ever owned. I love that phone. Ahead of its time. Any knockers can GTFO.

I'm actually most likely going to buy a new desk on the weekend. A larger one like Azure's, 3 monitors take up way too much space on a 1400mm desk. Probably go to 1800x900.

Also spot a Collingwood flag there on the shelves. 👍

Cheers Shaun.

Almost exactly what I have, just a bit larger on my side because it is in inches instead of meters. Wonderful size to have, since I can lay out books, have my monitors, and set dinner out on it.

All at once.

I've always been of a bit of a tidy freak when it comes to my desk. Sometimes it does have allot of clutter but I try and keep it tidy. Dust however is another matter... Anyway here is my desk now free of the iMac and a bit of a shift around.

EDIT: By the way, I just joined GTPlanet's Folding:@:home team. I'm getting around 5000 9000-15000 PPD with this rig.

EDIT2: Is 15000 PPD great for this kind of a computer?

Another one we're going to fix. A school in the area which has received grant money for new cabling. Most of the building is CAT5, not even 5e, much less 6. But this is their main rack. Not a single piece of cable management! The installer didn't even try....

The black cables are 3-footers still tied in the circle as they were packed in their plastic bags!

The job is months away, during the holiday break. I'll let you know how it goes.....

Well to say they didn't even try is a little harsh. I do see zip ties and twisties....

(they didn't even cut the ends off the zip ties, oh for shame....)

Got a new desk yesterday. Work in progress. Will probably get some monitor arms this weekend.

Casio, your image doesn't show and trying to open it in a new tab gives "Error 403 (Forbidden)!!1".

It's alright now. Cool desk! 👍

What sort of keyboard is that Brad?
I need to get myself something with a bit of quality about it.

Hmm, should probably ask Cody for some advice as well.

Cheers Shaun.

Ducky Shine with Blue switches. One of the best PC purchases you can get :)

Finally got around to some decent cable management. Ohh yeeaaa...

(I'm not sure why center monitors colours look different in pic, maybe cause it's IPS, they look the same in RL)

Still have a desk grommet I need to drill in place for keyboard/mouse...

Since I have finally gotten Powerline Ethernet for my desktop, I can finally move it down underneath the desk. I got all my cables coming up from the back of the computer in a relatively neat fashion, well as much as I can do without cutting up the desk. Ever since I got my laptop up and running I've since relegated it to being the side computer I use while playing games. It hosts my Skype calls for me and does everything else while my desktop just runs whatever game I want it to run. I consider this to be pretty ideal setup for a social person like myself. The only thing I think I'd want to complete this setup is a second set of speakers for music to play through off my iPod.

Back in post #68 I showed a rack we were going to rebuild, and promised an update. Then I forgot my promise. So better late than never, here is the new rack for this customer.

Here the cables are being terminated onto the patch panels.

Here's the old rack, still in use as we build the new one.

I'm setting up my switches here, getting them configured and ready to mount.

Here's the completed rack:

We turned the old rack to line it up, left the fiber in place there, and left the servers that were in that rack in place also. The customer put in that dead switch as a shelf for that minitower server.

After seeing some of the stuff here, my desk setup seems calm and tidy in comparison. :dopey:

That's a hell of a difference! 👍

Yes, it was, and the customer was ecstatic!

Not only did we produce a clean, easy-to-use closet, we eliminated switches in the field. They must have had 10 or 15 8-port switches in some of the classrooms because they only had 4 or 6 jacks in each room. So we replaced 3 48-port 10/100s and a 24-port with 6 48-port gig switches. We didn't just do the room, we pulled new CAT6 cable through the whole school. Their existing cable was only CAT5, not even 5e, and it's only been there for 3 years!

Previous vender was looking more and more questionable with everything we found.

Been in same situation before where a previous vendor didn't run enough cable and there ended up being switches all over the place. Some even would find above the drop ceiling. Of course no one would know anything about it.
