I got this today, 35bucks, I havent watched any of it, but I plan on it, just letting you guys know it was out.

I got it as an early birthday present a week ago. Man - 22 episodes! Fantastic.

Homer (in posh voice) - 'Hello, my name is Mr Burns. I believe you have a letter for me'
Post Office Clerk - 'Ok, Mr Burns, what's your first name?'
Homer (in posh voice after pause) - 'I don't know...'

Well, they've certainly cleaned up a lot of the colours and sound - it does bring home how tired a lot of the TV channel's tapes are.

The added features are pretty good.

I wish they'd bring Futurama out here soon - still no sign of a release date in Australia (and you guys in the US wonder why I have no tolerance of you complaining about GT Concept).

Waitaminute...you claim to be a Simpsons fanatic and yet you have to ask if the collection is worth buying?

Seriously, just buy it. I've only watched one and a half discs since yesterday and it's still worth every penny.

We don't have Futurama on DVD in the US either. No release date, nothing. I did see an episode this past Sunday that I hadn't seen before (where the "80s Guy" takes over Planet Express). Did Fox renew Futurama, or am I just getting my hopes up over nothing?

I'm not sure if I would watch them on DVD. I mean, The Simpsons are on the TV pretty much constantly anyway, so I don't know whether it would be worth it. I suppose it would be cool to be able to pick and choose episodes (I always seem to get Lisa and the Substitute Teacher at the moment).

Yeah, but it's never on Friday night after 9.30pm when I've had a few beers and a couple of wines and I'm looking for some cheap laughs.
