This has been in discussion in the Top Gear Thread for a good week and a half now.

And it was pretty obvious that Schumacher being the Stig was a gimmick. It's pretty easy if you look at the fact that he was with Ferrari as a driver and later as an advisor the whole time the white stig was on Top Gear.

I don't know who they threw off with that segment to be perfectly honest. Yes, The Stig was Schumacher, but only because it was his own personal FXX that was being used. Other than that, it seems they may have ruined everything (maybe I misread, or am reading too much into what the article states) but it looks like another Stig is marked for "death". Wonder who they'll get to replace him this time.

I dont want to know who they will replace him with, but I think its really sad that it was revealed and I dont get how Harper Collins is calling this a "victory for free speech." The whole point of the Stig was for no one to know the identity, nothing against free speech.

That was the whole point, but some people just take things completely out of context. It was a gimmick, and to be honest, apart from the driving the best thing about Stiggy were his introductions.
