Awesome pics Dan.👍 Looking at the first 2 pictures of the grid, I can see who was missing from your race. There are gaps in the grid in the first pic where Dowlin and Happy should have been. In the second pic, Goodwolf is missing from Pole position. Everyone was in their right place on my replay, so I will try to include everyone in the pics tonight.👍

Your telling me we could've had an epic battle for the win? Then we really should figure this thing out, stat.

On the last lap I wasn't in the hurry because Big C was trying not to get lapped and I didn't want any damage. Then I thought it was a little bit odd when he was letting me in front from a distance. 💡 He was letting Dan I thought. There were only 5 turns left so I tried to catch Dan but it was to late as I thought in the first place.

Still a great race. Thanks Ade for organizing it and all who participated.

I had an interesting battle with Cobani after we lost Jamesy in the tunnel. Later Cobani did one mistake after another and left me all alone in the second. I used an empty track in front of me and pushed safely, managing my soft tyres. My strategy was to pit in lap 16 but seeing that I was 44 seconds in front of Jamesy and I was doing faster times than I would on mediums, I went all the way and then used options for 7 laps.
Later I was just staying out of trouble and carefully lapping the back markers bringing the car home for my first podium.

Well it seems that everyone enjoyed the race, even though it was gruelling there was plenty of action. I particularly enjoyed my battle with Cobrius and Socal for the first 8 laps. Jamesy eventually caught us up after his lap 1 spin at the tunnel, and I dropped back a bit. But then I pushed a bit harder and was slowly gaining on Cobrius. I made my move on the long straight, and stayed in front through the long sweeping left hander. I was closing in on Socal as we came down the hill, but got too close into the left turn at the bottom, and suffered the drop in front downforce this Elise seems to suffer, and went into a spin. The rest of the race was spent playing catch up, and I would like to thank the gentlemanly conduct of BIG_C and trotter when they were being lapped. My yre strategy was a 2 stopper similar to Rosens. I changed from softs to meds on lap 12, and then back to softs on lap 20. It didnt really work. Here are the results.

yes Ade good battle with you and Cobrius!! i saw you spin when you got right up behind me. i've experianced that too. i'm sure once i get the steering wheel and switch to manual my pace will pick up but till then this is good training. had fun as usualy and you post race updates are awesome. hope i can improve at the ring in two weeks!

As promised, heres a handful of pics that tell last nights story.

The grid, with all places accounted for.

All safely through turn 1.

Ade, Socal, Dowlin and Cobrius.

Jamesy goes a bit wobbly into the tunnel.

Not what Dan expected to see.

Meanwhile up at the front Cobani was in a close battle with Goodwolf.

And Rosen was holding his own in 3rd place.

Happy, Trotter and Big_C, before Happy got DCd.

The battle that carried on for 8 laps.

Then Jamesy rejoined the party.

But he didnt stay for long.

Closing in on Cobrius.

And getting past down the hill.

Now just to get past Socal.

Nearly there.

Rosen laps BIG_C.

Dan laps Ade in the pits.

And now the battles on for 1st place, but neither Dan or Goodwolf can see each other.

Lap 24. With Dan on softs, and Goodwolf on mediums, the gap closed quickly.

Lap 25. Even closer.

Lap 26. The last lap and Dan catches Goodwolf.

And squeezes in just before lapping BIG_C.

Great sportsmanship from BIG_C as he lets the faster cars through.

Dan takes the win, 1.7 secs ahead of Goodwolf in a race that wont be forgotten for a long time.​

(now we're driving )

(we're moving now that's 6th)

Lap8 time for some super soft boots
(just hope my pit crew are on form today)

(laps just seem to pass very quickly)

I drove the 4hr Endurance race using the R8 LMS and it was good fun.. Would be really hardcore to do it online.. But not tempted

I'm a little tempted.

To long for me to be sat in one place, I race in the WRS Enduros which are 2.4 hrs but you get a 5min break in the middle, which is a great relief.

After 40 minutes racing in The Sunday Cup, I am usually spent. 4 hrs would be 6 times longer.

Does anyone have any suggestion on how we can get over the online issues. Connections and missing drivers. Does everyone have all the SC racers on their PSN? I am thinking about a new way to set up the lobby. The idea is to open the room a bit earlier, and invite 1 driver in. When they are in I will reset the track to get rid of the pole position glitch. (This next bit is Dans idea) When the track has reset, I will message everyone, one at a time to enter the room, until everyone is in. When everyone is in, we all go on the track to make sure we can all see each other. If everyone is visible, then its straight onto qualifying.

This does mean that we wont be able to do practice laps before the 15 minute qualy window, as this will give some drivers more qualifying time than others. You will only be able to start qualiying when the timer is set.

I know its not as simple as just entering the room, but if it works it would be worth it I think.

You should be able to tell if someone is invisible by them loading constantly in the lobby, normally its just a case of them both leaving and rejoinig.

I've had 16 in my lounge a fair few times and not had many problems, maybe 2 or 3 Dc's in a fair few races the settings I use are:
Race Quality Standard, Mic quality Low (if over 10 I turn Mics off), visual damage off. I also dont use the race start timer Ill just watch the clock till the time is up, that can help with the black screen issue at the start.
