Snap I've been at my nephew's 5th birthday, my heed was banging! The noise!!!

Still the pub lunch made up for it! 👍

Didn't make practice due to leaving there at 7pm and not getting home until 10:30pm!!!!

Lets hope my Elise goes better than my Clio :ouch:

Race day again, and PDs servers look like they wont stop us this week. Great practice last night saw us trying both the soft and medium tyres. I didnt save races 3 and 4, so these results only reflect the times from the first 2 races on the soft tyre.

Soft tyre.

DOWLIN...1:14.520
HELLRAZOR...1:14.8XX
COBANI...1:15.005
GOODWOLF...1:15.366
ADE3210...1:15.843
HELLRAZOR...1:15.987
COBRIUS...1:16.373
TROTTER...1:18.887

Medium tyre.

DOWLIN...1:16.690
COBANI...1:17.566
GOODWOLF...1:17.615
ADE3210...1:17.844
COBRIUS...1:17.967

Dowlin is the pace setter this week, but this race could go any way. Consistent lap times with no mistakes will be crucial. This is a fast track with high speed corners, especially turn 1, and the pit exit brings cars out just before this, so take care when exiting the pits. I will open the room early, so we can start as soon as everyone is in. Race you all tonight.👍

Edit...Dan did do a faster lap than documented above, but it was in one of the races that I didnt save. I have the results with blue text.

I Defo did a 1'14.8xx in one of the races.. 👍

Cheers Dan. At the time my house was filling up with rowdy teenagers, and there was a couple of races that I forgot to save because I was distracted. I have entered your time in blue text.👍👍

Had a quick go this morning.. My lack of pace last night must have been down to the cider..

Did 7 laps just now and this was the result..

Not bad for ten mins work :)

I managed a 1:13.1 a few moments ago. Took me 3 or 4 laps though, pretty happy with that time, especially compared to earlier runs.

Raising the bar again I see.. :nervous: I don't feel that I left 7 tenths on the track.. Be interesting to see where I am losing time to you.

Driving around in the 1.13.xxx ... What's wrong with you people!?

Very impressive laptimes gentlemen, respect.

I didn't think i had room for 7 tenths either, but i managed to gain a tenth in the first sector and around 6 tenths in the second sector, i managed to go through a bit faster than normal and somehow shaved off that time.

But, Getting that lap time again is gonna be hard, my consistent pace is usually anywhere from 1:13.7's to 1:14's.

Btw are you taking corner one at 127-128mph? If you're going slower than that you could easily lose a tenth or two.

You want to try my setup cobani? You use a pad right? It's a bit slippy but you can really chuck the car into the corners when you get used to it.

Oh and dan is the faster driver i think, he did get into the National finals after all :) 👍

Good to see the pre-race banter in the build up to tonights race. :D I am really looking forward to seeing if these incredibly fast times can be transferred to the race.

No I am only hitting about 122 mph through turn 1.. My T1 was a 21.1xx, I think it won't matter so much apart from in quali as that sort of pace will kill the tyres in the race.. I will prob start on the med tyre anyway so you will be sure to get pole 👍

Thanks for the offer Jim and please save your setup as I am curious. 👍 Maybe after the race!

I'll stick to my stable setup which gives me 1.15.low's in the race.

Well i use the same setup every race, so if you ever want to give it a go just PM me.

Actually, I think I may have set that 13.1 without Tyre wear turned on. Hmmm. I'll see if I can get close with Tyre wear on.

OK so yes, it was on, so that time is irrelevant, it seems that with Tyre wear on I can get a 1:13.565.

I know it is unlikely to interfere with tonight's race, but we are going to wait until that Austrian lunatic jumped out of his capsule right?

What time is he doing that? I know he took of at 3.30pm BST, and the ascent takes 3 hours, so he should be jumping some time soon. I will open the room early, but follow the usual schedule, and aim to start as close to 8.30 as possible, as it is a longer race.

Edit...Hes now getting ready to jump. Nutter...127,871 feet....nutter.

Edit again..Hes jumped...nutter...

Room will open at 7.30.

Well what a race. It certainly lived up to the pre race hype after having to postpone last week. 12 on the grid, and Dan was hungry for points over Cobani in this penultimate race. Strategy paid off with the mediums being used for the first stint. Well done Dan for the win, and to Jim and Goodwolf for their podiums, and to everyone else for a cracking race.👍👍👍 Now its only a week before the last race, and its back to the hard tyre, and back to Spa, which is where SC started.👍

It was a belter race! AND a good way for me to dispell any race demons from last nights CORE GT! :D

I knew it was my Clio's setup all along!!!

Fantastic race gentlemen! Some epic moments to remember.

As for 5th, not too happy with that, but in the end is was my own slip up that lost me a shot at 3rd with Goodwolf and gave a position to Dowlin. Beaten by pure pace by the top 4, so Dan, Jim, Goodwolf and Dowlin, congratulations on some epic driving skills
Next week at Spa is going to be fun and I'll be aiming for a worthy position to clinch the championship.

Well done everyone, great racing tonight guys. Gotta say, judging by how my race unfolded I have to be happy with 4th place, although I still feel I threw away a potential win tonight but oh well. I went all out tonight trying to keep up with Jim at the start which i succeeded in doing. But when I had my few offs, the red mist decended.

Seriously you should have heard me, I was so frustrated with myself for not holding it together. After my accident with Jim it kind of threw me off my rythem so not a lot I could do. I was a man on a mission after that and I don't think I caused anyone any problems but if I did I apologize.

Before every series I have participate in , I like to set myself a goal of getting one victory a season so I hope you don't think of me being a sore loser when I sound disappointed after a race when I don't get the win on the night. Trust me, I enjoy every race I have with you guys regardless of the result, even if I need a few minutes to calm down. I'm just trying my best to prove what I can do.

Great Racing tonight once again and I'm looking forward to next week and next season 👍

Due to lack of practice I was not able to keep up pace with Trotter and Omnius, even if I gave them some competition on the first five laps or so.

I think this track is especially difficult to drive without ABS. There are sections with many bends which makes it a bit harder to regulate the braking/speed, as the ABS in GT5 works as a “stabilizer”.
So why make it harder, you can argue? Well, I sense the driving more and that’s worth it. :)

I tried to make place for lapers and in some cases I got a wake up-bump – hopefully I didn’t block you too long.

Oh, on the replay I noticed that I was on mediums from the start and my fellow battlers was on softs – made me a little happier! :)

You should aim to win every race ;) 👍

That's the best way to start in my opinion.. I find it easier going to the softer tyre rather than the other way around.

Short video from last night :gtpflag: 👍

Yea sorry about that, Last night just wasn't my kinda race. And competitiveness is good, you were so fast in last nights race, i couldn't get away from you for a good few laps. :) If you have that kind of pace at spa, you could defiantly win.

Just ran a few laps at Spa.. It's pretty tricky on the hard tyre and the tyre wear seems pretty fierce, at least for the rears. :nervous: Also a very awkward pit entry. :scared:

Well I am still buzzing from last nights race. Having gone through the replay to gather the info for the leader boards, I witnessed some superb race craft throughout the race. I started the race on the medium tyre, and pitted after lap 15 onto the soft. As I left the pit, I was behind Jim who had just lapped me. Then for about 5 laps I managed to hold his pace, as he was on worn softs. Lap by lap I edged closer, and Jim gave me plenty of room on turn 1 to pass and unlap myself. It was then a chase to catch Socal who had edged ahead of me in the early part of the race. My soft tyres where on fire and I put in some competitive lap times to catch him and take 6th place. I was pleased with my pace with a 1:14.8xx being my fastest lap.

Now to the results. With 1 race to go, Cobani's lead is down to 10 points over Dan, with Goodwolf holding onto his 3rd place championship position. The final race will be a real decider, with the return to the hard tyre compound, and Spa being another high speed circuit.

Jim may be out of the championship hunt having missed 3 races, but he has become the first racer to win prizes. In every race he has attended he has claimed both pole position and fastest lap. Well done Jim. You have won a 2011 Lotus Renault GP identity lanyard and an F1 keyring.👍:gtpflag::cheers:
