Since im joining the fun tonight have we got any lap times to aim for yet?
 
I have only done a few laps but have a 18.5.. I think 17's are there for the taking :)

Have managed a low 20, but only run a couple of laps, so hope to get down some more by tonight.
 
Ran a few laps and getting low to mid 19's. Reckon I could get in the 18's but 17's look a bit far away from here.

17's!!! :ouch: I'm just breaking the back of 22! Might have to change my optional mod from the intake kit. Any advice anyone?
 
Great special session tonight. Some short race practice, before 2 15 lap sprint races. It was an excellent test for tyre degradation, and I cant see anyone managing a 1 stopper come race day. In the second 15 lap race on the mediums, my tyres had gone off by lap 11. Some good times were set tonight, and I will post these tomorrow. It was good to see some new faces to The Sunday Cup, Geordie, Pikey Kiter and Alex. Short race practice will be on again tomorrow at 8.00pm.👍👍👍

i did about 5 laps with the motegi set up and ran high 19's so i would say that there will be a few running 17's at some point. i would be okay with consitant 18's if i could get them. gotta make up for the poor crew chief work the last two races!! :grumpy:

Well I have been through last nights replays. We ran 3 short races on the soft tyre, before the 2 sprint races. I have decided that to keep the lap times in keeping with what we normally do, the times recorded in the sprint races will not be used. This is because of the longer distance and the tyres being at optimum temp for longer than the normal short race practice. I would like to make these sprint races a regular feature in future, as it gives excellent information on tyre wear, and will be a great help towards working out a strategy for the race.

It was nice to have some guests in the lobby, and their times are recorded in blue text.

Here's last nights recorded short race practice times.

Sports Soft.

HELLRAZOR...1:17.914
PIKEY_KITER...1:19.001
COBRIUS...1:19.602
GOODWOLF...1:20.262
ADE3210...1:20.443

Practice will resume tonight at 8.00pm. 4 lap races using both tyres.

No. I would like to keep the times set in the short race practice separate from the sprint races at the moment. The short race practice races are for capturing lap times before the race. The sprint races we ran last night would give the tyres a proper chance to get up to temperature, and wouldnt be accurate to the usual times we record.

The 15 lap races we ran last night were a special as Core GT is on a break, and I wanted to give any Core racers a Friday evening of racing, and I would like to implement them into future practice sessions. Also, I did forget to save the 15 lap race using the soft tyre last night, so I dont have the lap times.:dunce:

Ah that's a shame, as there were more guys in the main races who won't get their times shown... what about the possibility of using the first few laps of the main races? I have the replay files...

How do the panning modes differ? I have only ever used mode 1.
 
Panning - This setting is available only in Replay Photomode. Another quote from gran-turismo.com:

Mode 1: The camera stays in a fixed position and turns to follow the car. Because the car's distance from the camera varies, this can cause it to blur slightly.
Mode 2: The camera moves with the car. When taking a photo of a cornering or spinning car, focus will be centered on the middle of the car, which can cause the front and rear to go slightly out of focus.
Mode 3: The camera moves with the car, and is positioned face-on to the front of the vehicle. This allows you to take a photo where the car is sharply in focus, and only the background becomes blurred.

Stole that from another thread here at GTP.. :D

I personally like 3 best with a low shutter speed. 👍
