Under 2 hours until the room opens for race #3. Good luck tonight gents, I hope you all have a great race. Hopefully we can all get through T1 on the first lap without incident this week. I would also like to remind racers about being lapped. Be aware of everyones track position, and if you know there is a faster car lapping you, give them room to pass. In a most cases it is beneficial to let them pass, and then try to stay in their draft, rather than racing them. Drivers who are lapping others should flash their lights to indicate they are a lap ahead.

Hey everyone, Unfortunately, i've decided to quit the sunday cup, i have quite a few reasons why but the main thing is, i'm not enjoying it anymore and i feel as though the races are just a chore and not something i can enjoy. Also, i've not really had any interest in GT5 for a long while now and i'm just not really good at the game anymore either. The only time i seem to play GT5 anymore is for the SC and photomode.

Well thats race #3 done. Dan's dominance at the top continues with his win and new racer GTP_GRAND_PRIX showed us he also has some great pace taking second place.. Cobani's return to the podium completes this weeks top 3. Congratulations gent's, champagne time.

Big thanks to all who took part in last nights race. As your host I always get nervous before each race, and more so this week, knowing that Hancock and Dowlin would be missing, and then Cobrius's retirement from the series, I thought we would be low on the numbers. I was wrong, and with 13 starters we had a busy grid as usual.

I stuck to my usual strategy of starting on the harder tyre, and planned to go for 14 laps before switching to the soft for 2 stints of 15. Meh, it didnt work out very well, but I did enjoy some super close racing with Third, GC, Jammy and Rosen for the first segment of the race. My tyre strategy seemed to be the same as Thirds, and I was never too far behind him throughout the race. After my second pit, I managed to catch up with Socal, who was then on the slower tyre. It took several laps, but I got past.

I may have to revise my strategy for Daytona, as starting on the hard doesnt seem to be paying off.

A big warm Sunday Cup welcome to GTP_GRAND_PRIX, on his debut race with us, I hope you enjoyed it, and also to HASSLEMOFF on his first entry this season.

Dan has managed to increase his lead up to 7 points, with Cobani and Capt.D in joint 2nd place. Hancock's 2 strong finishes in the previous races keeps him in 3rd place at the moment. Heres the results from Autumn Ring.....

I have a query though! I notice that I am 13th on your results?! However, I passed GC on the last lap! And I finished 12th! It shows the results on my replay and result listing? Please have a look at the replay and my last lap to confirm!

Yeah, I definitely left it literally to the last minute! Was quite exciting for me; even though it was last place, to hunt down that position on the last lap was really quite a buzz! Just made too many silly errors earlier in the race else I should have been mixing it for 10th position or thereabouts... Great fun though.

I had a fun race!
Started with softs, battled with ade (on mediums) for some laps. I am not so good at passing (unused) so it took me a couple of attempts before I managed to get ahead of ade. A bit bumpy perhaps, but I think I was on the right side of fairness (?).

Switched to mediums and then back on softs for the last 10-12 laps. Managed to keep CTR behind me on last laps. I think CTR and I had the same pace, more or less, through the race.

Hopefully I didn't slowed lappers down. It's tricky to make place for lapers. On one hand I'm hunting the guy in front of me, on the other hand I don't want to slow passers down.

Ade: I'm not able to participate on the next race. It's easter and I'm off with the family to our place on the countryside for that weekend.

I like to think I was gaining on you little by little, but silly errors and spinning the car too much cost me, as jammy can attest to. Great to have you to chase though 👍

A clean first corner and then Bo, Jim and myself settling in to a 3 car battle for ten laps, exchanging places for third place after Dan and Rob had pulled ahead. Lap eleven I had a half spin, losing position and ending a fantastic tussle, hat's off Gentlemen I continued with Goodwolf and Hasslemoff in pursuit until I pitted for mediums at the end of lap 16.

Rejoining in sixth place the pace was slower, but a nice duel with Hasslemoff for a while kept things going until pitting again at the end of lap 28 for soft tyres. Back into the action in 8th place, I managed to get to fourth at the finish as some chose mediums to finish or pitted allowing me the opportunity to get by. Great stuff! 👍

Awesome race report and picture Gary, I am glad you had a great race. On to Daytona road course next, and hopefully I will have some news on the updated amount of laps later this evening. Also, Pikey_Kiter has said he would like to join us, so this keeps the numbers up after recent retirements.

Once I have worked out the lap times for the next race, I will post the amount of laps we will be doing, and organize 2x20 minute races for this Friday so we can get a feel for the track before the timed short race practice sessions begin.

In the meantime, here's a pic for Third_Reign. Just needs someone to photoshop the correct wheel colour.
