Daytona Road course update....

Ran a few laps on the soft tyre, and managed a 1:56.154. More time to come off with more track time. There will therefore be an increase of 4 laps to this race so we hit the magic 1 hour race time.

There is also the pit exit that needs to be mentioned. At Daytona there are 2 exits as you leave the pit. The first exit (to the right immediately after coming out of the pit) throws the car straight out in front of T1. (SHORT BUT DANGEROUS) The second exit, (go to the left after leaving the pit) requires you to drive through the exit lane yourself before rejoining the track on the straight. (LONGER BUT SAFE). We will therefore be using the second exit.

There will be 2x10 lap warm up races on Friday evening at 8.00pm. 1 on the soft, 1 on the medium, with no pit stop. Usual short race sessions will begin on Saturday.

If you look at the Elise 11R in the dealership it's one of the colours you can buy that car in, I forgot the exact name lol. It's the colour I used last season as well. And hopefully next season should I join it :)

I got finished taking pictures of the race last night and I hope to have them posted here tonight. Would've been last night only the other half wanted to use the computer :grumpy:.

On another note, when watching the replay no one's car sounded like mine or spat flames from its exhaust like mine. :odd: I'm beginning to think I've bonjaxed my car. Can anyone shed some light on this? Or will I have to submit my car for some scrutineering. Thanks

What optional upgrade did you pick from the 3 available. Its possible that they may make the car sound different. I know that the ECU gives you more revs before the red line is reached.

Just checked the setting sheet and it has the ecu fitted. I had bought all 3 optional sets to trial, my worry was I may have left one on by accident, but I'll let you check it out. I've put her back to the setup sheet she had on autumn ring. I can't see anything wrong, hopefully there isn't. She is down on power as I've not yet done a post race oil change.

I was going to take a look at Gary's car also, but cant sign into PSN. Maintenance apparently??? Checking my set up, I also have max power at 6400 rpm, but I have done an engine rebuild as my mileage is 2451 miles.:crazy:
 
I did a rebuild before the race.. Over 2k here also.. :D

It shows peak power at 6400-7800 at my end and miraculously gained back 374bhp when I switched the settings back to my autumn ring sheet.
Is it all above board? I can't help but feel something screwy is going on:crazy:

IIRC it is turn 2 on about lap 35. The pack was quite spread out at that point and I thought it would make an interesting picture

Rosens picture is probaly one of the ones I laboured over the most pre and post clicking the shutter. It needed enough exposure to get Rosens "office" in shot but had to be low enough to stop the image of a brilliant white Evora burning onto my retina :lol:
