One more thing. This race falls exactly a year since we last raced at Daytona, in SC1, in the 96 Elise, 1/4/2012. Third_Reign was the dominant driver last time, with a win over Cobani, and fastest lap. With 9 days until the race, can Third find his Evora Mojo, and cause another upset at DAYTONA.

Well then it has been a year since I last drove Daytona ^^

had quite a hard time yesterday finding settings that have a good feel, I had the feeling my Evora preferred driving backwards...a little nip of the grass and my car went flying (quite literally one race). Before the first 10 lap race I finally had something to work with, but still had no effort towards finding the right braking spots. I always messed up on the bus-stop and T1.

Having a DC didn't help much and being unable to join the lounge after the dc was quite annoying. Sorry about that...

I'm missing the marker boards on this track, but I can't blame that for my slow times :lol:

Your disconnection was the only way I was going to gain a position :sly:
 
More practice will take place tonight, and its back to short race sessions. Room will be open at 8.00pm.👍👍👍

Just as a heads up for next weeks race on Sunday. UK summertime starts on the 31st March, and our clocks will move forward by 1 hour. So the time of the race will change for many of you. We will move from GMT to BST, so please be aware of this.
 
Practice tonight saw improvements for myself on both tyres, and Capt.D on the medium. I am really enjoying this combo, and I think the car feels great. Had some super battles tonight, and dont know how we managed to get through a couple of the turns without contact, but we did. The Bus stop chicane will be a race maker, or a race breaker. Getting it right is hard, getting it wrong is easy, and this could determine the race.

Also I would like to mention the pit stop. If the pit lane is missed, you will get a drive through. This is automatic in the game. You will still go into the pit, but will not get new tyres. Also remember the pit exit route. Please use the longer route to leave the pit.
 
Sunday cuppers, for a while I have wanted to do a graphic that implements the podium pictures you all done for the series. As you all took the trouble to take the pics, and at the moment, its only those that get on the podium who get to see their efforts. After todays F1, I was inspired by this pic...

So I have come up with this graphic below. Its different from the current driver standings table (which will still be used) as it only shows current positions, without the history of previous races.

GC255 was the only driver to beat his record tonight. On the soft tyre he managed to smash over half a second off his PB. Only 1 week until this race, and I think that practice will pay off here. I am off work for the next week, and may have some extra sessions, especially to practice the pit entry/exit. Next Friday we will have another 2x10 lap races.

Ran a few laps tonight, and my best was a 54.474. This was with no other cars, so there was no slipstream. My previous best was a 54.247, with slip. I'm fairly confident I will get into the low 53's with a little bit of slipstream assistance. Not alien pace, but good for me. Sunday is race day, and there will be practice sessions on Friday and Saturday. We are nearly halfway through, and after this weekends race, its time to upgrade again.
 
Ran a few more laps online tonight and got another PB. 1:54.127 with no slipstream. This time is faster than my previous, but dosnt count as it was not recorded in short race practice. Friday will be interesting, with 2 x 10 lap races.
 
Just had my first few laps for this race and loved it! Great fun with
Ade having some close racing while getting up to speed.
 
Ran a few impromptu laps with Bo. Some good fun, and some good lap times. We only raced on the soft tyre, and it was Bo's first time out in the Evora. I was also using the momo wheel transplanted onto my DFGT for the first time, so I am happy with the results.

I just realized that sunday's race conflicts with easter sunday. I will most likely spend the evening with my family, so there is a high chance I won't be able to show up to the race on time. Will this be a common problem for everyone?

Shifting the schedule by a week would largely play into my hands, as I wont be around in two weeks either.
 
It doesn't matter to me either way.. I will go with the majority 👍
 
If a shift of one week is being considered,
I will have to vote against.
I have booked holiday for my night shifts that clash with current schedule, to allow me to have 100% attendance.
 
no offense to anyone but i would rather keep the schedule as is.
 
In answer to moving race 4. This will only happen if there is a chance that there will be a low turnout. I think that most can make the race, and as only Rosen and Third have so far said they cant attend, the race will still take place this Sunday. I know it sounds easy to postpone for a week, but then we may have drivers who cant make it then, like CTR who has used work holiday to take part. If there is a chance of low turn out, and there is a postponement, it will be a 2 week delay. I would prefer to go ahead as planned.
 
I'm free on Sunday night. Now, some practice.
 
Hey, no problem for me! I know the schedule and hope you all get a good race on Sunday.

Now time for beer and contemplation in front of the fire place. :)
