The dust has settled on last nights race, and the halfway point in this championship. I changed my usual tyre strategy, and started on the softs. My plan was to do a 12/8/12, and I got a great start from 5th on the grid. After Hasslemoffs spin in lap 1, I managed to hold onto 4th place, and had visions of repeating the epic 10 lap battle I shared with CAPT.D in practice. Sadly that wasnt to be when I overcooked it at the start of lap 3 T1, and ended up going off. I waited for traffic to pass before rejoining the track towards the back of the pack. I enjoyed some close quarters racing with Cobani before his unfortunate circumstances forced him to have to leave the race. Before the first round of pit stops I had a battle with Third, but put a tyre on the grass just before the second right hander on the infield part of the track. This caused me to spin into the tyre wall. I was pleased with my pace, but I do feel that I made a few mistakes that cost me some potential places.

There were 11 starters last night, with Jammy retiring after completing 4 laps. Cobani's retirement from the race is a bit different, as it was out of his control. This will therefore be treated in the same way as if he had suffered a DC, and he will receive half the points he would have got had he finished in his grid position, rounded up.

Now to the updated tables from last night.

Now onto race#5, and its time to carry out the second set of upgrades. This time the appearance of our cars will also change, with the addition of aero parts.

I am fairly sure that I have already extended the laps at Fuji to meet the 1 hour race mark, but I will confirm this later in the week.

I think most used the ECU, I know I did. Almost certain Dan did as well.

Yeah I was using the ECU aswell. Dont forget you can mix and match them to see what gives the greatest performance boost, as long as you only have 2.

Just ran a few laps with the new upgrades, and the car is an animal. You can really feel the increase in instant torque into the tarmac, and with the aero, the additional grip is there. But beware, our 2nd Evolution of the Evora can bite you back if your a little too keen on the throttle. Fuji is a great track to have our 5th race, and the car feels great here. My fastest time was a 1:46.670, and I know there is loads more to come off, especially from the faster racers. I would like to increase the amount of laps for this race by 4, taking it to a 36 lap race. This should give us a race time of just over the 1 hour mark, the same as Daytona, and will add an extra dimension to tyre strategy's.
