I promise I'm not singling you out. I did have fun chasing you down in the last stint until you span at the bus stop. I thought it was going to be down to the wire. 👍

Fantastic pics Rob, between you and cobani, any tips for me? :sly:

Superb pics Rob.👍👍👍 Yours along with Gary,s have now been uploaded onto the SC Face. We have over 50 likes of the page so far, many of them from Lotus enthusiast from around the world. If any of you are on Facebook and havnt checked it out yet, the link is in my sig.

Also, tomorrow is Fuji Friday. First proper laps with the newly installed upgrades @ Fuji. 2 x 12 lap races, 1 on each tyre with no pit stops. Room will be open from 8.00pm for some warm up, with the races starting at just after 8.30pm.

Is it bad that I've not installed my upgrades yet?

No Gary, its not. But you will be pleasantly surprised when you do. The car feels great with the added power, reduced weight and the aero pushing the tyres into the road.

no worries!! i singled my self out with the poor performance. yes i did expect to try and pass you in the draft at the finish line however it was a desperate attempt to get close in the bus stop. poor strategy as in the replay i saw it was possible to keep pace with someoone on softs if on the meds. i should have started on the meds. i'm going to get my whole team (voices in my head) on the same page for the final events!!:dopey:

that being said its still enjoyable even on a bad day!!!:dunce:

This is not acceptable Dan....

I wont be joining you this weekend, unfortunately I've badly sprained my ankle and possibly done some ligament damage so I'm now on crutches! So frustrating because the 1st 2 races I've had with you guys were so much fun. I'm just hoping I'm ok for the race!

Get on the DS3? :D Or do you need to keep your foot raised etc when sat down?

At any rate I hope it isn't ligament damage man. I've been through that twice. Not fun at all. Have a speedy recovery 👍

Get well soon mate. Rest that foot up. We need you back to keep Dan and Rob in check.

Yeah got to keep leg raised for 48hrs and keep putting ice on it. If I was any good with the DS3 I would but I'm terrible!

Might join the room and watch for a bit if it isn't full.

Yes you apologized to me after the race and of course I excepted it. 👍

You are also right about my race. That incident didn't have any effect on the outcome.

GT5 is good therapy!!!!:dopey: Hope you recover soon!!

Its Fuji Friday!....Cant wait to get this beast on the track tonight for our first taste of the new upgrades. Room open from 8.00pm, races start from 8.30pm. 2x12 lappers with no pit stop. 1 race on each tyre.

Who will set the benchmark tonight?????

Great first laps online tonight. There were 6 for practice, including special guest Geordie. We ran 3 8 lap races, the first on the soft, the second on the medium, and 1 final race on the soft with just Capt_D, GC255 and myself.

Sport Soft.

CAPT_D...1:44.724
THIRD_REIGN...1:44.880
ADE3210...1:45.026
GRAND_PRIX...1:45.237
GC255...1:46.576
GEORDIE...1:47.067

Sport Medium.

THIRD_REIGN...1:46.748
CAPT_D...1:47.115
GRAND_PRIX...1:47.126
ADE3210...1:47.217
GEORDIE...1:48.477
GC255...1:49.663

So the benchmarks have been set, with CAPT_D the pace setter on the soft tyre, but THIRD_REIGN is only a fraction off his time. THIRD takes the spoils for the medium time, with nearly a half second lead over CAPT_D.

THIRD did stop off for a take away before the medium race, so maybe his 4 roast chickens and a T bone helped.:sly:

More practice tomorrow with the normal short race sessions at 8.00pm.

Did some personal practice after the lounge disbanded and managed a 1:46.046, so I can do better. How much do you guys think the slipstream matters here?

In the race a lot. Losing the train makes catching up extremely hard. My best time on the mediums was run solo after braking away from geordie. Guess the guys up front were too caught up in fights to choose the best line.

Thats a good time with no slip Gary. If you could do that with others on the track and get the slip on the pit straight you could get low 45s.

I'm feeling a bit more confident about a decent performance here now.👍

Ade has kindly let me promote a series we have on a Monday night called V-spec challenge which is run by Gedi & Johnboy.

Room opens 7:00pm BST every monday starting on 15th April. We are on our 7th season so the cars are very well matched and we have good bunch of drivers just like here! Please check the link below if you are interested as it would be nice to get a couple more regular drivers.:) Thanks
