This is for controller user and maybe wheel users, but typing in the chat in lobbies is a really horrible experience!!!

Maybe when typing messages in the chat, could we not us the DUALSENSE Controller's mic to dictate our message and the GT7 game then uses software or AI to filter and trancscribe in-game to get the words on-screen quickly. Would save me a ton of time typing out words with the slow ass controller!! Alas it saves me typing incomplete, incohereent gibberish words!!!

Haha! Especially with the race timer and people exiting the lobby quickly.

Tic toc tic toc....

We don’t even get real AI Sophy….let a lone lobby chat real time transcription…..

My guess it’s lower than low on the priority list

Edit for clarity, frustrating that chat is awkward, but the effort that has gone in to the entirety of lobbies and sport mode is next to zero. The issues with these modes are annoying but the lobby chat functionality is probably the least of peoples issues.

Frustrating as it is.

I don't even bother to type anything in the chat, unless my bluetooth keyboard is connected.

That's often the safe option. Sometimes when I get rammed or squeezed out I ask my missus to grab the duct tape so I'm not tempted. The last time I got a week's ban (even though all I think I did was report someone's offensive comment... never again).

It's a pity that there is still no control oil lamp.
Annoying at the end of the day to check all the cars you drove for oil (you have to select them all individually to find out the condition)
It's also annoying when you run a lobby that has an autostart timer. If players join the last 30 seconds and have a long connection time (internet connection poor), they will blow up the timer.
Everyone then has to wait again because the timer restarts.
Switching to manual start is always very time-consuming. GT Sport was a better solution

Another annoying feature is we can't setup custom Drag races like on SSR X, we can't just use it as a dragstrip in the game to test cars, you have the go the long ass way round into the Missions and do the same ol' GTR draggy race. I wanna race others cars PD not the aged widebody GTR all the time.

Kind of bothering me there’s no Mazda yellow hues in the game. Maybe we have to wait for an early FD or NC Roadster. Other than those two, I doubt we’d get an NB Coupe or any other older Mazdas that had a yellow option.

Your post inspired me to return to ChatGPT (5.2) and try to get codes which are close to reality. I have down this before with other cars. I know nothing about Mazda paint colors, so it had the job of identifying a list of candidate "Mazda yellow hues".

This is its response: -

Here are HSV starting points you can paste into a sheet or notes (Hue in degrees 0–360, Saturation and Value in percent 0–100). These are good “get in the ballpark” values; you may still want tiny hue tweaks depending on lighting and whether you choose solid vs metallic/pearl in GT7.
Mazda color nameMazda paint codeHSV
Sunburst YellowHZ399195
Lightning YellowA4J498996
Competition Yellow PearlJ9487394
Canary Yellow Mica25C396494
Blaze Yellow Mica26S386893
Mimosa Yellow Pearl Metallic50L / WB6364582

If the yellows you want are not in this list and you know the name or number, ChatGPT can probably recreate that for you

What annoys me the most is that the instrument lighting doesn't work on all cars and that some cars' exterior lights don't work as intended. Like for example the Lancer evo x, His full or low beam seems to be shining on the wrong reflector as it is a reflector that is not shining. Another example is the Alpine A110 from 1973, for some strange reason it has four fog lights instead of high beams...

That's cool having the values.

I think sometimes it depends on which team or group modelled or scanned the cars. Like the 69 Camaro, doesn’t have drip rail chrome like the challenger. Not too get into it too much but I’ve noticed some other things about certain cars that are different or missing.

Definitely not the same team doing all the cars because that one bmw that came in an update, the windows can be tinted all the way down to 20% without looking flat and grey.

While we are at it, since when you have to hold a button with your finger so your headlights stays on ?
It bugs me since GT5.

No category for engine swapped cars. Even label (like wide car) would be ok. Or maybe custom categories working similar to favourites.
As someone who uses Favourites to organise his engine swapped cars, I would love a way to actually use the feature. Especially for cumbersome Custom Race grid assembly.

I hope this fills a gap for you. The nice thing about using HSV for the paint colours, is that you can match the colours on decals if you need to. It can be really hard to match decals to Real Car paints.

This is useful when you need to make a shape with "holes" in it where it appears that the underlying paint is showing through.

For example, if you wanted to have a decal with "cutout" letters, you can actually apply the letters over the background shape, and then colour them to match the paint underneath.

Unless metallic. Also, I’ve found solid paint, is different shade than a decal.

Say you paint your car solid orange. Then pick the same orange for a decal… more often that not they aren’t an exact match.

Since GT Sport, very annoying with all liveries similar to the Gr.4 Scirocco. Metallic paint and metallic decals. And mixing matte, metallic and solid decals.

Maybe, I dont know. But I assume that all teams have the same quality requirements, it would be strange otherwise.

I don't know, never thought about it 😅🤔

Sure but, stuff can slip past easily enough. Look how long it takes players to notice some of this stuff. Why on the old Alfa does the paint creep thru on the rear quarter panels at the body line? How’d that slip thru. Lol

For me, this is particularly bad when I want to use yellow.

This is an issue that not only affects GT but also other games with HSV-style color models such as NFS, but decals never produce the same vibrant, vibrant yellows that are available as body colors.

No matter how vibrant a yellow I try to make with a decal, it always ends up being a dull yellow compared to the body color, or a pale yellow like corn soup.

I'm not an expert on the HSV color model or game programming, but is it really that difficult to make it possible to mix vibrant yellows with HSV colors?

I think the paint is modelled to reflect differently? Decals are just that glossy or not it’s not paint. I wish it wasn’t like that though.

Yes, you can think about that. Have a nice weekend.

Happens a lot after an update. I've had to edit liveries from months ago, and the way the colour is applied in the newer version is different, requiring me to reapply the paint on everything.

Yes, this can happen, but usually it's avoided if you are using the same colour palette colour. If you are trying to colour match a real car paint it can be a pain because some have a different gloss on them, like the ones on older cars.

A great example is the Orange used on the Miura. It's gloss seems to mimic older acrylic enamel, whereas glossy decals are always high gloss. So, even if you have the HSV, the decal will stand out like a sore thumb.

I’ve had it happen choosing the same colour from my palette. Sometimes only noticeable under certain lighting conditions too. So say I picked a colour, fav’d it, chose that colour as my paint colour and chose solid paint. Then applied a decal using that exact colour, it doesn’t always match up. It might be car related. I have dug into it that much. I’ve also noticed some cars, my paints look different on different cars. Some of the glossy fluorescent colours look different on day a Camaro versus a Porsche when applied. It’s really odd.
