No doubt is the X1. I heard the prototype is more fuel thirsty though. I still have my prototype 0 miles though, so I don't wan't to try lol
I can barely do 4 laps of the nordschleife in the X2010 without it spluttering dry... Has anyone got anything worse?!
There's a good reason why though, because you are on the throttle about 99% of the entire run and you don't even need to lift for corners. Usually, the faster you go, the less fuel mileage you will get.For sure x2010 i can only do 29 laps at indy and float the 30th in, I can easily get 38-40 in other cars. That is in the prototype with min downforce.

Can you manage fuel consumption with short shifting etc.?
Or is it based purely on laps done?
Well of course but I flat foot it with the Ford GT and can still do 39 laps, therefore making the x2010 consume more fuel. Its common logic it has 1550hp of course its going to suck fuel. I would figure the veyron to suck the next most. Also I don't think all tanks are the same size no?? The X2010 will hold 99 liters on a pitstop making a pitstop around 1:30 lol but the Ford GT with a smaller tank still wide open will run more, actually tires will die before fuel.
In real life the veyron is supposed to empty a full tank in 12 minutes at full throttle.
