Whoever said "I before E except after C" was a thing that actually exists should be dragged out into the street and shot.

"It's" is something I often get caught out on, apparently "Its" is used for the possessive.
In my experience, most Americans screw that up too.

And Piggy Pie is the nickname for that terrible vector (well, its actually two different ones, but Hasbro uses the worst of the two more frequently) that gives her a pig snout which Hasbro keeps using on nearly all of the MLP merchandise. Its actually on the second page that MintBerryCrunch posted, but here's the normal one:

"It's", (with an apostrophe), is mostly used here for the possessive. The idea that it functions the same as any other possessive, "It", becomes a noun in that instance.

I think "Its" is used mainly in American English. I've used "It's" for years, and hey, I got an A in my GCSEs. Then again, almost everyone else in this country is so illiterate it's hilarious.

And yeh, "I" before "E" has so many exceptions it's irritating. Like science.

/Edit/

Happy Louis Walsh is somehow more adorable than Fluttershy. XD

But.....that doesn't even make any sense. I thought the entire idea of the apostrphe was to create a contraction, and if you use "it's" as possesive you're basically saying "it is".

"that is it is(it's) box" is pretty much how I would read something like that.

Sorry but no offense, if we keep down that route we'll end up using txt spk.

GaP%252520Annoyance.jpg

Even Trixie's using txt spk.

To be honest, I think this has already started happening in some parts of the country. Also, the whole "I before E except after C" thing irritates me, as well as lazy grammar.

Hammond has "Helsinki Syndrome", plus James greeting another woman with his trademark "Hello"

If anypony wants some clarification on this matter, then this should help:
Its is the possessive pronoun; it modifies a noun.

It's is a contraction of it is or it has.

Incorrect: The mother cat carried it's kitten in it's mouth.
(Possessive pronoun, no apostrophe)

Correct: The mother cat carried its kitten in its mouth.

I love Clarkson's reaction.

JC: Use your charm James
*James walks to the lady*
JC: Now watch, first word he'll say is"hello"
JM: (suave) hello

I'm fixing it now, calm down.

...

I've never experienced this awesome moment. They don't even ship those shirts over here, I mean what the applebucking hay?

CoffeeGrunt go check your DA mail nao!

Yes...even the wingboner.

I'm glad you liked it!

I designed guns for OC Digital Monsters in the past. Ponies are somewhat similar...
Also, I'm a gun nut.

Guns are illegal here, if I had one, I really would be a "nut", and arrested.

You designed guns for Digimon? Pony guns are more practical! They exist, just you wait 'til I raise my equine armies against the capeetaleest swines een whitehall!

*Cut to shot of MI6 operatives tracking my IP.*

/Edit/

Yes, yes it is Toro.

/Edit2/

I feel kinda sad, because this means I'm gunna have to reitre Trixie/Cassandra as my avatar on stuff now. :'(

I still think Cassandra's my favourite character I ever wrote.

Guns here are very expensive and hard to get.

I want to go to USA and cut trees with a Remington xD

I'm not serious about the trees...

Cello, or Double Bass?

I just read The Sound of Sunlight, and I have to know. It looks like a cello and I *think* I can hear a cello during Pony Pokey, but it is sized/laid out like a double bass. She doesn't really play it like either, if I'm honest (Octavia's just that good, I suppose), but still.

Discuss.

So visually there are two elements that makes Octavia's instrument get some uniqueness, the first element will be the body shape which is similar to a Double Bass(however the diapason is considerably shorter than it should), and as MintBerryCrunch points out there are the pegs which is more associated with a Cello.

As for how it sounds, it almost impossible to determinate if it is a Double bass or a cello, but the Double bass sounds "lower" than the cello, if we take this into consideration then the Pony Pokie uses Cello (it could also use a double bass that is tuned to a higher pitch).

Have some references to see the sound differences:

(Notice the pitch from the Double Bass contrasted with the pitch of teh cello, then apply this difference and maybe you have your answer)

I'll say Cello, apart from that, Double basses are a bit bigger in proportion, however don't mind my opinion too much, I found myself mistaken in this field very often.

Also Button won this weekend's GP:

I'm not the only person who thinks the animators just drew "a string instrument, make it look kinda like a cello or something." I don't get the impression they did massive research on proportions and tuning arrangements. XD

It's Equestria. This could be something custom made. Octello maybe.

That's what the Mossberg is for.

Pfft. AA12? ;D

Also Of Mares and Magic has also influenced me deeply.I had a pack of blueberry muffins for dinner. XD

I love the idea of Octavia getting her own instrument invented. She's too awesome for standard stuff.

This is what I thought after seeing people on other sites debating whether she was playing a Cello or a Double Bass. The creators probably went "let's just give her an instrument that resembles, I dunno, a Cello, the size of it doesn't matter though".

As if I would have used my 1100 to cut down a tree.

That's what the Mossberg is for.

Either way, it would be 20% cooler to use one of those weapons than it would be to use a tool designed especially for the purpose of cutting down trees.

Then again, using explosives to cut a tree down would be even cooler still:

Anyway, there's a severe lack of ponies right now, so here:
