Have I made it known how much I love this side of Fluttershy? It's too bad that, unlike Flutterage and Pissedlestia, there is very little chance of it coming back outside of more Discord silliness.

Right, so listening to Got My Pony Spam For You, plus the last 23 seconds of Chik Habit by The Flashbulb at the same time at high volume probably wasn't the best idea. I don't think my ears will recover from that.

I honestly can't say I have not. Every day, even the very rare days I don't post here, I still think about Ponies. They've dug do deep into my mind I can't go a whole day without thinking about them.

I can honestly say that for the past 6 months, I haven't gone a single day without thinking about Ponies. Is it distracting? Hmm, sometimes. Do I give a damn? well, no. I've also never dreamt about Ponies at all, which is something I find quite surprising.

@unit-one, from my understanding a Mary Sue can do anything. She can adapt to any situation and never has any problems.
The character maybe easy to write but the audience will hate her because they can't relate.

That's the most common form. A couple more examples are when the character is shown to be better than the canon characters at something that they are supposed to be good at (for example, an OC who can fly faster than Rainbow Dash, or an OC who is better at magic than Twilight), or when an OC has annoying tendencies/habits but the canon characters are instantly able to overlook them without problem. Those are the two that were thrown at Nyx and Past Sins, even though the first one was sort of justified by the story (though I can easily understand why that one would still apply to some people) and the second one was fixed when the massive rewrite happened.



You're safe in both of those instances, I think.

Well, if you make the story explain his powers, there should be no problems. Example:

Or nerf him down with a huge disadvantage.

Use an unicorn as example this time:

>Only able to do combat magic, and powers over energy. No teleportation, transmutation, etc. Powers that Twilight does have, thus, making this hypothetical unicorn like the Muscle Car of ponies.

Spike is going out on his own, and he could still visit, it's kind of like the same happy/sad a parent might get when their kids leave home, yeah he's leaving, but it's not like they'll never see each other again.


And you can tell a video had an effect on me when I have to try to find the bright side.
