I know what you are thinking. LunApple?

And you'd be right for thinking that. And yet, and yet, based on the story crafted, I'm fine with it. And that's coming from a God-Damn AppleDash loving 'Mareican.

Luna comes to visit Ponyville, mostly to get out of Canterlot. Following the events of S1E2, her and Celestia are basically dead to each other (as are Twilight and Celestia towards each other). She comes back and meets up with Twilight (who is a realistically emotional trainwreck after S1E2, hurt to what she thinks is beyond repair about her role in Celestia's life), Dash (who is... well, she acts about how you expect her to when Luna would come back), and AJ (who doesn't believe Luna is a danger, but is still worried) all at once, and it goes over about as well as you expect. Dash picks a fight, Luna misspeaks and Twilight blows up on her, and AJ tries to pick up the pieces.

Then? Chapters and chapters of delicious character building.






I mean, of course S2E3 and S2E4 completely torpedoed all of it, to the extent that I think it is the most extensively Jossed story I think I've read on the entire site; but you know what?

I don't care. It is such a lovely story that I don't care.







And no, I didn't read it in class. I had a psych test today that only took me about half an hour out of a 110 minute class to do (projected grade? 85%), so I finally whipped my PSP out and read the story after putting it off for literally months.

Heh, that's why I started reading it when it was only on chapter four.

It's one of my favourite FPSs, but FO:E just doesn't really do it justice IMO...

I think it's because Fallout itself is very world-centric, it's not so much the character as it is the world you play in.

Doesn't really work for a story though, so they've made it based around Littlepip. I think you need to not see it so much as Fallout with ponies, and more MLP with a blasting of Fallout. Not certain that's how I see it, but I'm an American in Denmark learning German, so my mind is understandably borked.

It spends eons describing stuff. It's not just chapter length, the whole writing style is the equivalent of wading through porridge for me.

I'm glad someone's enjoying it, everyone I know says they hate it. It's the most popular thing I know of that noone likes. xD

Right. So I was playing through the single player of BF3, but then when I decided to play some multiplayer I learned that EA still doesn't know that Battlefield sells well. Because the last 'every single one of them' wasn't enough of a clue. So they figured mediocre servers numbers would be fine for launch, because they are stupid. I mean, I know the launch of this game was massive, but how they hell did they not see this coming?

Anyway, I guess it's kind of a good thing, because it reminded me that I've got fanfics to read. So I'm going to go read the Mythbusters one and then read as many chapters of Allegrezza as I can before I'm too tired to walk back to my bead.

That Mythbusters crossover wasn't bad actually. Pinkie Pie carrying a highly volatile chemical compound is something I should have expected to see, I mean it wouldn't be a proper Mythbusters crossover without explosions, right?

So I was sitting there, when suddenly I realized: I was drinking a cup of hot chocolate from a $10 Brony mug, while reading a story about ponies on an iPad with $80 worth of Applejack on it, while wearing a $20 Brony shirt and listening to the Orchestral album in my Brony music collection. Unless I start counting individual articles of clothing I'm not sure that moment could have been any more 'Pony'; and it was glorious.



Anyway, I got halfway through the 3rd part of Allegrezza, and I am loving it. I might just burn through all whats left tomorrow. It's not that I can't read any more right now, it's that my friend got BF3 earlier today, and the servers are working again. And he's gone for a few days starting tomorrow, so I figure I'll get as much play time in as I can before he leaves.

Other than the fact there are 3 of them I really see no similarities between the 2 groups. I mean, assuming their role in the show, probably, but I meant that in terms of personality Dash and Torry are almost the same.

Same here, since yesterday midnight the thing has started to give me problems(on the 360), 6 rush matches and every single one of them shut-down, I barely could level up the aircraft(haven't got rockets yet), and the player based ping is a good damn pain in the flank, specially for PC.

Which reminds me that getting this thing for PC is the best way to play it, I played today on PC and the thing looks better and the matches are way better.

For the past couple of days, I've really wanted to reread A Precious Rainbow, and I really don't know why. I have a suspicion, but I'll probably need to reread it to determine the accuracy of it.

I liked it. Pretty sure CoffeeGrunt liked it. Seth loved it. Features really clever character interactions from Dash and Applejack towards Trixie.



Specifically:

Dash does something when Trixie first comes back that she instantly regrets doing, and as a result Dash basically retreats into a hole of shame whenever she sees Trixie afterwards. But because Applejack doesn't know why Rainbow backed off, she decides to increase her hostility towards Trixie to make up for it; to the extent of being outright mean about it.

It actually really bothered me that AJ was acting that way until I sat down and thought it through.

It's a good thing that they are still pretty clever with the setup, because he certainly seems to be pushing the envelope of late with the punchlines. I suppose that one is relatively tame compared to, say, "On Occasions," but still










Anyway, I don't actually have to do anything tomorrow, and I actually got all of my school work done yesterday (so my entire weekend is open). Let it be known that I would like to host a race this weekend, but I probably would have to do it on Sunday instead of Saturday. I'm kinda tired right now, though.

This track was sort of meant as a sequel to "Here Today". It's an older Twilight reminiscing about her younger days, and Spike, who had already left her.

In all seriousness I don't understand it either, I consider that the first and second episodes deserves way more votes, I like the Luna Episode but Chocolate Rain episode was actually better(and deserves more votes).

Toronado: here's what I was talking about last night that makes me pessimistic when it comes to ED submissions

Some Guidelines:

Write everything in American or British English.
Make new paragraphs for each speaking character. Optionally, add a carriage return between paragraphs.
Put an extra empty line between scene changes, or add '------' or something similar to differentiate between different scenes.
If a pony has an official name or spelling, go with it. Don't make things up.
Self-inserts are generally frowned upon. Don't do them. If you're unsure what represents a self-insert character, check out this article.
Don't give up if people trash your fic. It's all a learning experience.
No porn. No gore. No exceptions. Shipping is all good, but nothing explicit is allowed.


Overpopulated Crossovers

People just love crossing ponies over into other movies/games/ect. Some of these are becoming a bit too overpopulated though. Below are a few settings to avoid:

Warhammer 40k
Slenderman
Fallout

Pictures and Comics

Generally everything is allowed. Try to preface your email with COMIC or ART.

No porn.
No gore.
Don't send OC ponies!

Length Requirements:

Multi-part Stories: ~3000+ words minimum for the initial upload, 3000+ per additional chapter.
One-Shot Completed Stories: ~2500+ words minimum. Please, have someone edit your stories before you send them! The pre-readers are not editors, and will send it to the moon if it's a mess.
