The new chapter is at almost 8k words, which is longer than nearly every other chapter. I haven't yet included everything I wanted to yet, however, so it's not ready to be released. Part of the reason that this one is taking so long is that it's just so damn big.

And he thinks about renaming the first chapter.

The previous largest chapter, Politeia, was just over 8k. I can understand why chapter 18 will most likely be the largest, considering the events which we expect to take place in said chapter:

RD and Twilight trying to get help from Fluttershy and Pinkie in order to use the EoH, plus the battle that we thought would happen many chapters ago might actually take place this time.

And I remember saying back in June that TNTNE would end at around chapter 19 or 20, seeing as BC said that he was halfway through the fic when part 10 was up. I'm not sure if that's still true now though because new ideas for this story might have come up since then. We might only have about 3, maybe 4 parts left before we reach the conclusion.
