I read a fic today where the bad guy was genre-blind enough that he actually said "Friendship is Worthless" to a tag team of Twilight, Luna and Celestia.

A thoroughly righteous ass-kicking ensued.

They're selling for between 1.79 and 1.99 Euros each in various EU countries, but I believe they're not sold in the UK at the moment.

Also, I've just discovered that MLP:FiM is coming to the UK and it will be airing on Cartoon Network at the end of July. I guess now that it's coming here, we'll see alot more MLP merchandise become available.

Yeah its likely that once it actually starts airing in the UK that the merchandise will also come over here. The whole merc range seems to be split into the 'for playing' type figurines which don't look all that much like the characters and the 'statue' types ones which look character accurate.

I would love it if they did vinyl Japanese figurine style ones that were large and for collectors but I guess they ain't going to sell many of them to 6 year old girls

Robin.

One of my friends found out he matched with Big Macintosh. He doesn't didn't watch the show, so I showed him the first couple minutes of "Apple Buck" season, and he was pleased enough with that to give some more episodes a try. My other friend found out he's Luna, and he was also pleased with that(after I explained Luna herself wasn't evil, but that her bitterness manifested itself as Nightmare Moon and took over: he's into that kind of stuff.), and now he's also watched the first 6 and has probably watched more since I left his house. So I just converted 2 people into Bronies. All I had to do was watch the best episodes while I was near them and eventually in between rounds of League of Legends their curiosity got the better of them.

I'm doing my part to help spread the Ponies.

Also, for the Derpy fans; a Dash recolor:

I converted my brother simply by virtue of existing. Being the older brother has its benefits, and one of them is your siblings try to emulate everything you do. Might as well take advantage of it when I want him copying me instead of all the times he's done it when I didn't want him to do it. He's trying to hide it, but I caught him watching Winter Wrap Up a couple of days ago, and I know he's been watching the episodes that I've taped on one of the TV's when I'm in my bedroom.

Verdict is still out on my sister, who is technically the target demographic (being a 10 year old girl) so it really wouldn't count, but she has always been the Rainbow Dash of the household anyways so it sort of does.

I'm surprised to find that I'm ENTJ (Trixie) as well.

After reading The Night That Never Ended, Should I start hating myself now or what?

Also, I keep listening to this, and I don't know why:

So,today I scored +3 more bronies to the global brony population, which makes for a total of 3 people that I know who are bronies (21 year old guys),another thing that I consider is that the place where I'm currently living, which might be a bit "away" from the whole MLP stuff.

In any case,is good to have places to hang up,like this one.

I did the personality thing, I got iNTJ which matches up with Princess Celestia. I thought I would match up with Twilight Sparkle but Celestia seems appropriate.

I told my mum about MLP last night before bed... She thinks I'm crazy-er now for liking a "children's cartoon". I tried to explain that kids get one message from the show and adults get another, I don't think she got it.
Now I need to do something manly to show her I'm not odd for liking multicoloured ponies.

I should try that again. >_>

I think I'm more of a mega mix between Fluttershy, Twilight, Celestia, and Rarity. <_<

Anyway...

Finally, someone else sees it my way!

^I actually did make a joke about that in the comments on the episode on YouTube. I didn't think about the Ponyta thing until someone pointed it out.

Y'know, that's one of the scenarios I've been running through my head...Twi as Goku, Trixie as Vegeta, and...someone...as Nappa, doing that certain famous scene.

Also, either Pinkie or 'Dash as Krillin, Sweetie Belle or (time paradox!) Filly Twi as Gohan, and let's say the Piccolo/Kame duo is Luna/Celestia...

and suddenly Zecora plays Mr. Popo, Applejack/Applebloom can be Tien/Chaiotzu, Someone no-one cares about is Yamcha...though 'Dash might fit the bill perfectly, dunno. Rarity might make an interesting Bulma...

consarnit...

Took that personality test, expecting to be like Spike or Twi'.
I got Twilight (INTP, iirc)

Part 11 of TNTNE has been up for 5 hours on the guys DA Page but here's the Google Docs Link.
Not sure why he hasn't updated the ED post, but there that is.
I'm not going to read it just yet because I have an unbelievable headache, but I'm looking forward to reading it tomorrow.

Also, just so anyone who missed this sees it, he made this comment on the ED page about the story.

BronyCray
Chapter 10 is up, along with a pretty big update. I'm gonna repost it here since I have no idea how many of you actually follow my DA:

I have good news and bad news, bronies. The good news is that this story is officially over halfway done! I don't have an exact length planned out yet, but this is the start of the third section out of four. Also, I (just barely) got it up before midnight, meaning that I remained on schedule!

Which, of course, brings me to the bad news. Starting next chapter, every new installment will be uploaded every 3-4 days, instead of the current 2 days. Now that summer is in full swing, I have to split my time between family, friends, travelling, moving, job hunting, and writing. Sadly, writing falls pretty low on the priority queue there, and so I had to make a choice.

I could either upload a crappy, mostly unedited chapter every 2 days, or I can take the time that this story deserves to sit down, brainstorm, and plan out a serious chapter two or 3 times a week. For people reading each new chapter as they come out, I'm sorry, but if I got this far in this series and then ruined it because I wanted to keep a timetable, I'd never forgive myself.

Unfortunate news, even if it is a couple days old, but it's good to see he recognizes that high quality is worth the wait. I would rather wait a week between each then to sacrifice the quality of the story, so 3-4 days is definitely worth it.

Poop. I don't think any of my "uplifting" or "laugh my ass of" fics are due to update any time soon. I hope this chapter isn't as unbelievably depressing as I think it was set up to be, or I'm gonna be screwed again.

I also found part 11 of TNTNE on BronyCray's Deviantart page a few hours ago, so I went ahead and read it. I feel that it's one of the saddest chapters written so far:

All I can say is it's largely focused on Rarity trying to deal with the various problems (make that major problems) that are happening in New Ponyville, not including the impending invasion orchestrated by Trixie.

Well the Advil is kicking in, and my headache has subsided, so I'll try to get this read before it comes back.

EDIT: Not completely done, but I just got to a certain part:
SOAREN NOOOOOOOOO!:(
I mean, I knew he was going to do something, but actually reading it was just....so depressing.

That one wasn't as bad as I thought. It's certainly no Chapter 8.

Partially because we knew this mess was going to come back on Rarity sooner rather than later, partially because we knew something along the lines of what happened was going to happen in response to Soaren's suicide, and partially because it looks like all hell isn't going to break loose until next Chapter.

Trixie is still a bitch, though, and I'm pleased to see that I was right about just how thoroughly committed she is to orchestrating her own downfall. The only question now is just how much of it is going to blow up in her 🤬 face, and just how quickly Nightmare Moon is going to find out that Trixie is basically defying everything she was ordered to do for what basically amounts to a power play.

And if it isn't obvious, I'm practically giddy about the second part.

That actually happened in Chapter 9. This was just Rarity finding out about it.

Well it would appear that in this universe they've mastered teleportation of non-magical beings, and since it apparently requires an "anchor" I am really curious to find out how Twilight will get them back, well, if she ever actually does.

Also, I might just not remember it, but other than Celestia "disappearing" for a few days before the take over I don't recall any other information on her whereabouts. Could someone tell me if there was any information on her other than the disappearance in this story, because if not, I have a feeling she may have a role later in the story.

I know this probably won't happen, but imagine if the mass teleportation fails, and the army of Shadowbolts end's up in Twilight and RD's universe. That's almost definitely not going to happen, but it's just something interesting to think about.

Also, Trixie is a 🤬 and I hope she dies....painfully.

That actually happened in Chapter 9. This was just Rarity finding out about it.

I know that now, I was actually just about to edit my post, but I was so tired I might as well have been sleeping when I read chapter 9. I really need to go back and read about 3 chapters that I have very fuzzy memory of.

Oops, meant to add this to other post.

I think that is the most important thing to note from this chapter (other than just how ballsy Trixie is being), because I think its going to play heavily into how Dash and Twilight get home.

I've seen other fics come up with plausible explanations for that topic (Sunset had a really good one, for example), but I don't think the topic has ever actually come up in TNTNE. Which could mean that it will pop up later, or maybe it won't. I don't know.

Also, Trixie is a 🤬 and I hope she dies....painfully.
Oh, its gonna happen. There is no way that it won't now. She's stabbed too many people in the back and overstepped her bounds far too much for her to get away with it, and Nightmare Moon already feels nothing but contempt for her. And it will be grand.

Hence the giddiness.

Alright, I just skipped through Part 9, until I got to the part where Soaren was sitting on a cloud; everything that happened in that entire part flashed through my head in an instant. I feel kind of dumb for forgetting all of that. Also, I am now very sad.

I'm going to bed now, it'll probably take me at least an our as I mull all of chapter 11 over in my head. Come to think of it, that may be why I forgot Part 9 so easily, I fell asleep so fast after that because of how tired I was I didn't really have time to go into deep thought about what happened.

Also, reading about what happened is made more depressing by the fact that I, as far as I know, read it for the first time...twice.

Everyone wave to BronyCray. He knows we exist, discussing TNTNE in this thread (I mentioned one of my predictions off-hand as being something I discussed "with some people on a forum." He was sort of surprised about that, asked where, and I told him).

To quote:

I skimmed the last 10 pages or so and I have to say, some of you have actually come pretty close (and in a few cases, nailed it) some of my later plot points.

So I suppose now is the part that we all go crazy trying to figure out who he was referring to.
