Regarding what issue? Have you taken into account that "a couple of days ago" would have been during the weekend?

Nope. Got mine last night from Fry's for $599.00 + tax.

Sorry that's what I meant I'll go back and edit my post. The point I was making is the T500RS is the same price in Australia as the GT2 CSE which is sold through a retailer so based on this it is fair to assume that if it was sold in the US through a retailer it would be a similar price to the T500RS there which would be $599 + tax. This does not fall in the $700 - $900 range.

Pedals.

Send the email last thursday morning. But Belgians are known to be lazy when it comes to business and replying to emails.

Just preordered from Amazon UK. Estimated dispatch date 13th so with express delivery should be here by the end of the week hopefully.

Thanks for your efforts RC45, as a reader of this thread and possible purchaser your input has been of great interest. I like to hear the pro's and the con's and I am glad you have relayed what you saw and felt, it will play a part in my decision process. Truth is, if I could get one now I would but I cannot find one in my town, just amazon.

You can take this to the bank:

You are going to see every person to a T report the wheel is awesome and that the hting works fantasticly - but NOT everyone is going to report on the problems they see/feel and THAT is what I was getting out of the way at step 1 - telling people the package is not perfect. The reason I think this is important is because many times all you end up getting from "reviews" and "reports" is the good as people are afraid to admit their "new toy" might have some flaw because they know some people may react the way you guys did and they dont feel like putting up wiht the "attention" as you like to call it.

I have no problem whatsoever reporting any and everything I feel to be flaws or problems with products, so I shall definitely be sure to post any I discover. This is why I posted what I already did about the "bag 'o parts" and my findings therein. Couldn't believe there were actually friggin' WINGNUTS in there, though! LOL!

I hear ya and empathize with your frustration though, RC45.

I'll check that a little later, when I unmount/remount the pedals after visiting Home Depot, and report my findings.

Thanks RC45 you just proved to me once again you are very good at giving criticism and putting forward your views. However it seems you are not so good at taking criticism or have people question your views. You dish out an attitude so why be surprised to get that it return.

For the record nobody said you were not correct on anything. The issue for some is your making such big issues out of it and in doing so can be seen as over-reacting which then for some questions how big of an issue it may really be to others. You go on the defensive each time it seems when I've tried to quiz you on such comments. I just don't see the points shown so far to personally be to your level of criticism. Criticism is good and welcomed on the product but have you ever seen people like those on ISR react like you have here or use the level of attitude you come out with. This is a serious product at quite a serious price point it's just a shame in my opinion you've went about this report/review the way you have.

I have on several posts thanked you for what you have done particularly in measurements and photos and those are genuine thanks. So probably best way to leave this now. It's going to go nowhere and you take little heed to others asking on turning down the attitude.

Perhapos you need to take astep back to the very beginning - I leveled criticsim at the product and YOU responded with criticism against my person.

That is the difference here.
.

Gees, you still don't get it.
Your attitude to others and stupid OTT comments directly to TM is what I first criticised.Joke or not, it was quite lame and uncalled for.

Since then you've just continued with little usage of common sense.
Your all drama my friend.

Enjoy

@ RC45 : is the wheel hard mount the same location as the G25?

cheers

maybe you mentionned it before, but i must have missed it

PS don't take to heart Latte's comment, he just likes to criticize. now i just skip em ;)

Yeah - its "lost" in all the minutiae  (replete with mistypes and misspellings)

he isn't a bad guy, it's just you 2 don't seem to connect ;)

afaik he was building an uber rig though, would be nice to see if he ever finished it

PS thx for the info, so i guess i will need to drill holes in my gamepod if i go this route. available in UK at end of week, need to decide soon

LOL - I don't seem to "connect" with anyone. I am just an all around jackwagon.

But I have been trying to summarise my complete "1st and lasting impression" of the T500RS.

And here is what I got (hopefully it meets with the lofty standards of the FaceBook crowd ;))

After spending a weekend with the T500RS I have found myself going back and detuning cars just so I can drive them in stock form with comfort tyres. It has brought back the FUN to sim driving for me, the wheel just works that well.

hehe you can be abrasive at times ;), but helpfull too. At least with all the facts you have given us it makes it easier to make informed decision. nobody is perfect - i ain't

Glad the wheel made you find this 👍 For me that's where the joy has always been! :p (so maybe I'd enjoy the wheel really much)

edit,

hey could you measure between the finger & the arrow? :D Wasn't sure I got the right measure last time I asked..

So is the diamond plating not lining up perfectly w/ your second wheel as well? I'm curious as to what other people have in regards to that.

Nope. Got mine last night from Fry's for $599.00 + tax.

Which location in Arizona did you get the wheel from, and did you see any other stock? I have been calling and calling them and getting responses from "we don't know" to "we probably won't stock the item"

Calling Frys is just about worthless. If they answer at all, they've never been very helpful. Best bet is to go in if they're local.

Still on the fence myself.... hoping for a sale and for a bundle with the upcoming shifter. 6 bills with the shifter would be great.

The brake's mod is for me really great, i won't use ABS=1 evermore, and that change all for the driving experience.

And the pedals are so stables with the mod as without it, or it has any ground displacement when you push the brake pedal hard?.

My pedals move sometimes on the laminate when braking hard. Onetime I flipped it (way too late braking) But I've a really poor angle:

PS: Waiting for my rennsport wheelstand and considering buying a speedmaster, playseats or rennsport cockpit ;)

I don't think so. Apparently Thrustmaster & Logitech have their "PS3 ForceFeedback Library". Developers use them to implement the wheel & ForceFeedback Effects on PS3. So it's probably legal & approval by Sony.
Fanatec use Logitech VID PID . So their wheels are recognized on PS3 like a Logitech and not like a Fanatec (it's explain why they are compatible but not sure it's really legal )

What's the point about the Fanatec recognized as a Logitech ? Does it mean some "cheats" about the identity of the wheel ? Is it the reason why they are only online selling ?
