How in the world do you get it? For the life of me, I've tried it with several premium cars to no avail. How'd you guys get it?

It takes forever to do enough damage to get it. What I did was hit the wall at the end of the Mulsanne straight on Circuit de la Sarthe a few times at max speed in a LP670-4 SV.

I tried the Ford GT 05 and the Ferrari 430 Scuderia with no luck and I really smashed them up. Then I used the Citreon WRC rally car and it worked easy. I don't think all premium cars break up but apparently rally cars do.

You have to go to arcade mode...pick the hardest difficulty setting...pick a wrc car...then, drive the thing into walls/barricades/something solid...as fast as you can several times. Once a door starts to pop open, you get the trophy. Took me about 4 minutes.

I use Citroen wrc in the arcade mode. drive at the trial mountain. hit everything I can, rock, mountain, wall, tunnel, everything you name it. get the trophy at the 2nd lap after the door came off, even the hood came off

Got this last night. Took me about 10 minutes. Drove my Citroen WRC in Monza and just bashed everything. The front bumper started to loosen up, as did the rear. The hood and trunk then started popping up but wouldn't come off. I finally somehow managed to bash one of my doors open. I continued attacking the wall with it until it finally came off.

WRC at Daytona. Drive backwards. Get destroyed. Takes about three minutes.

Yup! This worked a treat for me too :).
Its kind of a useless trophy really when you think about it, i.e, it goes against the spirit of the game...you have to really punish your car and for so long to get it, no one would be able to do this unintentionally and stay interested in driving for so long a period of time if they were that bad a driver.
Would they?

From my own experience trying to get the trophy I think a driver pulling the same tricks in IRL would be very very dead indeed.

I spent 30 minutes at Daytona in a Premium rally car going backwards and slamming head-first into oncoming cars and never had anything come off. I did this not for three minutes but for thirty minutes and nothing fell off.

I went to Eiger Nordwand, went backwards to the tunnel, and simply parked sideways blocking the tunnel. When traffic came around they slammed into me and piled up, at which point my door came off and I got the Trophy.

I took the Citroen C4 WRC '08 to Indy and ran the track backwards, smashing into the other cars.

The door is the easiest part to fall off. Hitting head-on will take longer. I turned at the last second to get a t-bone style crash.
