Great video. 👍 Some of the cars do sound amazing on a good setup (like my own

). But I don't think it's really an issue of the setup being used (if the game really only sounds well on high-end systems, that would mean it's mixed down rather poorly, which I don't believe), rather than the view you are using. From chase-cam (or as mentioned above: any 3rd person view, like in replays), almost all cars sound simply brilliant! However, the exhaust sounds are almost completely non-existant when using bumper cam. A bit less so from interior view, but varies from car to car. Most of the cars sound like crap from bumper cam IMO.
Gear whine is also inconsistent. For example, the '67 Ford Mk IV Race Car from cockpit or bumper sounds absolutely awful because of it. Put it in chase cam and it's the exact opposite: sounds absolutely amazing: pure audio-porn! On other cars, you hear the custom transmission much less (which is good IMO).
Which leads me to believe that most cars need only a bit of balancing of the various sound layers in order to sound amazing in all views. E.g. on the Mk IV reduce the gear whine and increase exhaust note in bumper and interior cam. Same for F430, sounds amazing from chase-cam, but it loses the exhaust note in other views. Just add a bit more exhaust note in interior and bumper view and it's perfect. 👍
Cars like the F40 definitely don't need any fixing though, sounds absolutely mental from any view.
Looking forward to the next video.

👍
Shift 2 is a bit over the top IMO, sounds like they just put all the car sounds through a distortion unit, even the stock cars sound completely pumped.
