I know there are "settings" for the wheel, when I get it and open it up what settings do yall recomend..Also I see on here there are updates for the wheel...Can I tell what firmware is running on the wheel when I open??....Just trying to get some questions answered so when I hook it up I dont waste to much time

Press and hold A+B buttons together. Then additionally press the 2 lower red buttons on the wheel rim. You will now see the firmware version on the display. You may see fw 721b but more likely you will see fw 707. Do not run Froza with out instalilng fw721b first.

Also make sure you have windows xp and Net Framework 3.5 to install the new firmware. You can use windows 7 however I have heard of a few people haveing trouble with getting the fw to work and install with 7.

Trouble with Windows 7??...WTF......Thanx for the links...Ill try to school myself before it gets here..

Got a tracking number...scheduled to be at my doorstep by the end of the day Monday..Cant wait

Turbo s and Clubsports. Wasn't too pleased that my first edition RennSport stand came with no clamp for the pedals. Still working on the solution ten months later so hum!!!? Does anybody else have the Rennsport Wheel stand and can recommend the fanatec clamps? I find I use the clubsport offset for two pedal brake and gas more than I use for the clutch so was thinking of having the positions drilled into the thick aluminum base. But was also wondering if the fanatec clamps x2 would be strong enough for the offset position for two pedal operation?

My stand came with one clamp that acts as an end stop and is well up to the job and I use a bungee cord wrapped around the pedal base to prevent it sliding which could happen with vigorous pedal use. This set up works perfectly.

You mean to tell me that I spent good money on a wheel stand and have to use a bungee cord to hold my pedals on??

I'm pretty hard on my pedals and the stopper, or whatever you call it, keeps them in place on my Rennsport wheelstand.

Got a notification of a late train....Arravial bumped a day..sux. But I guees Im still lucky considering when I was FIRST looking at Fanatec they were backordered by a couple months

Well mine would slew slightly and every now and then and the pedals would drop into the gap in the middle of the stand. So you don't have that problem fine. But if anyone does, that is a cheap and easy solution. Some people order an extra clamp so I have to assume I am not the only one to come across this...

Hope I didn't come across as being confrontational or rude in my post....that was not my intention. I could see how the pedals being secured could be a problem for some...I was just saying that it wasn't a problem for me. :)

No worries Wiggs, It was fine for me until I started using my clutch (yeah took me a while) But when I did I found the quick left/right foot combination made the pedals bounce slightly. I think it is down to the angle that you are at to the pedals, I am quite high due to the chair I use, if I was seated lower I don't think it would happen. :-)

I am not familiar with the Rennsport Wheel Stand but would it be possible to modify the pedal base by drilling holes to allow the pedals to secure via bolt/screw from bottom?

I am only familiar with the CSR Elite pedals so not sure if other pedals you may be using would allow for this, just thinking out loud.

Sure, but my solution works without bringing out the tool kit :-) I believe the base of the CSR's is exactly the same as the CSR/E's When I get the CSP's I may well do that as the Load cell will require more pressure still. I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Got my wheel/pedals/stand this evening..Spent about 2 hours playing with it to realize I spent all this money to hit guard rails:irked:.....Been trying messing with setting and stuff....I know it will take time....But I cant stop fishtailing....And when I fishtail I cant get out of it....Patients

It will take many hours of driving before you adjust. It will take weeks before you get close to your old lap times....but it's worth it, trust me. :)

Yeah, it will take some time to get the feel for the wheel. Best thing to do is use low class cars, try to steer clear of RWD ones at the moment til you get used to the throttle. Like Wiggs said, it will take some time but well worth it.

Indeed, I have only just returned to driving RWD after a couple of months of just FWD. It is not easy to make the adjustment but once you have you will never go back.

I got frustrated and turned my traction control and stability back on...Is this bad or do you think I just need to tough it out...Ill try to stick with low class cars for now...Thanx for the encouragement guys

You just have to approach the game as if you never played before. Don't expect to be as fast as you were with the controller, I am now at the point where playing with a controller is beyond brutal. I refuse to race with a controller due to how touchy it feels to me.

Also, what view are you using. I find the Hood view to be ideal, next being the Cockpit view.

What I did when I went to a wheel, started with F class, race a few, went to E, race a little, D...and so on. To be honest, to this day, still find the higher class RWD cars very difficult to drive, but if I spend about 30-45 minutes with them, I become fairly good with them.

Still have my Traction Control off and Stability off....Found out my sensitity was on 900..bumped it back to around 140...And its a bit controlable now...Starting to enjoy actualy "fighting" with the wheel to straighten out the car
