Why does the Veyron get such a bad rap? It's understandable in drag racing because of it's insane speeds and maybe even during racing online, but I was in a room just cruising around in a stock Veyron, just testing it out since I fully tuned my other one, and the host began yelling at me and called me the "Dumb *** in a Gayron" and kicked me. I mean I wasn't even doing anything. So why is the Veyron so antagonized?

You're not that same guy who started that thread about getting kicked out because of your nationality are you? If so you have no luck.

Because it is a priza car at a low level, but still insanley quick, it would be classed as a "noob" car.

Same goes with the minolta and the x1 s vettel.

Because it tends to be driven by little kiddies who must have it because 'Dat Jeremah Clakson guy on the telly sey it's da fastet car in the word'. This has been the case on every game I've played.

I haven't liked the Veyron since long before GT5 came out but I have no problem with people using them in my lobbies. I don't really understand why people dislike seeing the Veyron on the track but are ok with the Mclaren F1 though, as on a track the F1 run's alot faster.

I think Ryan is on the right track also.

Because it destroyed the high performance excitement in real life, and I'm not just talking about the McLaren F1. Some people see the Bugatti Veyron as a marvellous piece of engineering, I just see it as an ugly, high powered tank on wheels.
Rant over.

Driving a veyron just raises the question why drive a veyron when you can drive a cheverolet chevelle, chevelles look, sound and are better (especially if in cranberry red;))

The Veyron is hated because it does have good acceleration and great speed, for example in drag races. It is almost unbeatable when it is stock, and have stock setup. That makes that car so boring. It is more fun to build an own car, set it up as you like it, and crush everyone you drive against!

I understand why everyone hates it in Drag Rooms, but as a circuit racer, on tracks with a good amount of turns, it should be competitive.

I love it when people talk bad about the Bugatti Veyron, I hated the car before GT5 and don't like the looks very much, but

- I started collecting those, in 2 tone colors and I started to likethe car
- Its actually fun to drive and HARD to drive very fast for too many people.

I dare you do the real circuit tours Nuerburgring 24 hr with it and get 1st place :D

Oh and I love the talking English about the McLaren F1, a car which is even more hideous to look at... :P

-The Veyron looks like an upside down bathtub
-The Veyron handles like a wet boulder
-The Veyron has a W16 :yuck:. Overpowered
I can live with the rest of this, but what throws me over the edge is that its made by Volkswagen. Not a small, private supercar company, but a company who has any resource in the world at the tip of their fingers, plus the best engineers, materials, facilites, etc that money can buy. There is no beauty or majesty to go with this car like you would get from a Mclaren F1 or Ferrari (yes, I know Ferrari is owned by a larger company but they have a rich history and heritage.

This is because
1. People can't drive it, so they hate it
2. People are to lazy to look for a tune
3. It'll dust the competition

That is all

Because 99% of the people driving them are dumb little kids, and only that 1% drives them right.

👍👍

Generally used by the kids online who either can't be bothered to tune, or look for a tune, for other cars, so just bring out the most powerful thing they can in the hopes of winning through outright speed, rather than skills.
I generally frequent a room on SSR7 where we do a lot of draft racing, and it gets annoying, for a moment, when someone pulls out the bug. Only for a moment though, as below a certain pp level it becomes woefully under accomplished compared with the competition. (Can't remember exactly what level but it's somewhere around 550pp)

It was just a free run circuit on Trial MTN. I didn't even hit anyone by mistake. I was just cruising it. I agree with many people. Personally I dislike the Veyrons looks as well. I think you give anyone 1,400,000 dollars that they could make a Golf go 250 mph. I mean isn't that pretty much what a Henessey Venom is?

So yes I can understand in some cases, I just felt like it'd been really antagonized in a situation where it shouldn't have been, that was my thoughts on what happened to me atleast.

Haters always gunna hate.

Online lobbies are woeful, I've not used one in months as we use a lobby system and kids abusing cars is never a problem so cars like the X1's & Veryon are used as they should be: sparingly and with fun in mind 👍

.

Maybe.

But good luck driving that Golf on the street, let alone listen to music, having air conditioning, starting it consistently by yourself, etc....

Anyone who denies that the Bugatti Veyron is a fantastic marvel of engineering is being intentionally obtuse.

With that said, it sucks to drive as a race car and can't even really be classified as a sports car; I really just don't enjoy driving it. I guess maybe that's why people hate it?

I'm guessing because it needs a lot of braking space and so sooner or later the driver is going to brake too late and punt off the guy in front who chose his braking point well, but whose car only weighs about half as much and will therefore spend the next half a lap trying to get back onto the tarmac.

Maybe the Veyron has a bad rep, because it's a horrible car designed for people who can't actually drive? Sure, it's a 16 years old's wet dream. But anyone who can actually drive, would never want to own one.

👍 Personally, I just think the Veyron is a big, ugly and overrated boat.

The veyron is a car that is won and is popular for only one feature that it's good at, it's too easy to drive, and it is understeery... The McLaren F1 is a car that you have to invest in, that requires skill to drive, is fast enough to keep up with a veyron, is maneuverable enough to keep up with prototypes on high speed tracks, is really fun to drive, and it's a car that most noobs don't notice as a good car because it was made before they were born.

Like the X1, the Veyron got a bad rap from all the clowns running it in open lobbies who don't know how to drive with any respect or consideration from other drivers. But on the other hand, it's your own fault if you go into an lobby with no vehicle restrictions to begin with. :banghead:

There's nothing wrong with the Veyron, it can be quite fun to drive, it just isn't well suited speed wise to be with other cars on the track in a racing situation. A Veyron only race is lots of fun.

We have seem to have forgotten why the Veyron was built. Not to look nice, or go around corners very well. I was made to break the speed record and did so in a superb fashion. It's shaped like a "Upside down bathtub" because that creates least drag at high speeds. It is over powered because at 260mph, the air pressures are so great that it takes an extra 50HP to grab an extra mph. If Bugatti wanted to make sleek, good looking, fast circuit car, it would most defiantly will not have been the Veyron.
