I was debating where to put these super sharp Buicks (and Caprice) because those are OEM wheels not originally offered on these cars. I think most recognize the 17" Impala SS rolling stock on the woodgrain car, but the foreground has wheels from an '80s Buick fullsize. Pity this is the highest quality shot I could find.

He always dreamed about owning a land yacht and he kinda struck gold upon finding this one for sale. It's a Saudi spec model (i.e metric gauges, no catalyst converters.. etc) and was supposedly owned by a former Aramco employee at one point. It was in a pretty rough condition but he immediately started working on it.

While Caprice's and other GM's B/C body cars of it's era are somewhat common within the local used market, LTDs are generally much rarer to find nowadays, let alone as a wagon.

(None of the photos belong to me but he didn't mind me sharing his car over here)

Conflicted, as above, but I'm once again leading with the wagon.

It's in dire need of a gloss spray job, but OBS (GMT400) Sport/GT wheels (454 SS wheels are wider) look sharp on the bathtubs.

So the other day I was following one of these:-

peugeot-508-sw-pse-2020.jpg

And it struck me that whilst it was very stylish, it didn't look like it was as commodious or practical as its 1979 ancestor:-

So I did a bit of checking and although the 508 sedan is quite a bit longer than the 505 sedan (4750mm vs 4579mm) the 508 wagon is shorter than the 505 wagon (4870mm vs 4898mm). This must be one of the very few European cars which is smaller than its 70's ancestor. Damn I love the 505. Especially the wagon.
