I've never seen the show, never read the comic. Photos from the TV show looks really good, and looks like everybody who's seen it liked it. It's like "...finally" for me. :D

Read the comics first.

I hear they are hard to come by though, and I don't really have the spare funds right now. I might check them out when they become widely available, if ever. :D

Borders should have them.

Borders should have them.
So I just posted how Borders had the lowest price on the Blu-ray(just preordered it). While I was browsing walmart website, I find that they have something called "Compendium", which has issues 1~48 for $34.75. Since I was going to preorder the Blu-ray from Borders, I checked their price on this Compendium? $59.99.

Mark-up games these guys play is just amazing. It's business, I understand that.

The show started out amazing. The first two episodes were great! In my opinion it got a little slow after the first two episodes and I was actually slightly dissapointed by the overall first season. Hopefully the second season has some more action in it. I think what brought the second half of the first season down was that they weren't really moving and instead trying to stay at the camp... therefore the suspense was kind of lost.

They focused more on character development, I believe.

If any of you were still planning on preordering the Season One on Blu-ray, Walmart.com is a great place to do it. My price on it was $29 & change, including shipping.

I was just checking my emails, and I got one from Borders.com. It says my order was cancelled, because either I requested, or the item is no longer available. As I previously posted in this thread that I preordered from Borders, because they were just couple bucks cheaper than Walmart.

Some of you might have heard that Borders is going through Chapter 11 bankruptcy process right now? I'm annoyed, but what am I gonna do? I just hope Walmart still got the great preorder deal, no big deal then.....

I work my way down the email, and there is a second email from Borders. This time, they say they mistakenly cancelled my order, we're sorry, it must be frustrating, yada yada yada, please, if you haven't done so, reprocess your order.

But that's not all. They claim that they don't want to disappoint their loyal customers, and as a token of their appreciation, they'd like to present this 30% off coupon.

I'm like, that's not necessary, but it is way cool, I'll take it. So I go visit their website to reorder......... you probably guessed it, they jacked the price up, so even with the 30% off, you are still paying more than their original price, or the walmart's price.

Thank you for wasting my time, Borders. Then as that wasn't enough, waste my time again in the attempt to rip me off. It was sad to hear that your company was going under. Now, not exactly. 👍

While the show wasn't as good as I had hoped, it is still about billion times better than most zombie flicks, and the production quality of this series are top-notch. I don't watch series like this until it's out on DVD/Blu-ray, but I will get it for sure, once it is released. 👍

Looks good so far, I just hope it doesn't go too soap opera with the love affairs and stays more on the survival/zombie action.

I'm surprised that no one had mentioned that the producer and director, or whoever was the one making the show, had left the series.

I'm super stoked I loved the first season it really showed the grittiness of trying to survive in a zombie infested world.

Great show all though I want something cleared up in the Second Season.

What happened to the dude that was handcuffed to the building, then cut his arm off and ran away? We need another bit of story here!

Nice sharing.
I saw the first two episodes. Even though the series in large scares the bajeezus out of me, I'll still be tuning in. It's got me hooked....

Frank Darabont left. And it's sad because he was (as i read) the leading force of the project.

Left mid season.

So we will see how it affected the show

Heads up UK, The Walking Dead season 2 starts this Friday at 10pm on FX.

Dude I'm watching this show's first season on Netflix right now. How did I miss this on AMC??? Gonna watch season 2 for sure.

Yeah whatever happened to Merle anyway?

Chances are, Merle will come back in Season 2 at some point.

The Season 2 premier was amazing, I left a happy stain in on my lazy boy.

Every Sunday night is like Christmas right now. New episode of Dexter and new episode of Walking Dead.. Two days later a new episode of Sons of Anarchy. 👍

Whoa, got up this morning at 4:30 am to watch the season 2 premiere of this show and it didn't disappoint! Looking forward to next Sunday for episode 2!

I'm guessing that Merle made his appearance at the end of episode 1. Sorry trying not to spoil anything and is not my intention to do so.

What a cliffhanger at the end. Luckily the preview for epi. 2 cleared a bit.

Amazing episode. Lot of suspense. Great

Also I can only recommand watching the 6 webepisodes.
story of the bicycle girl in the park from the beginning. Only like10 minutes long but awesome

Now that is how you start a season premiere. From the tense moment in the beginning where the group is hiding from the "herd" to the OMGWTF moment at the end. It was a great episode.

Whoa great episode. Kind of slow but still awesome. Next Sunday can't get here fast enough.

I never watch the series I like on TV? I wait until the DVD/Blu-ray release so I can watch them without breaks, or missing episodes in between.

Since how one of the producers or someone leaving was discussed in this thread, I was wondering if the show was going to keep the quality up. I like reading the feedback in here so far. 👍

P.S. Prosthetic, point taken, but way too much info in the second sentence.

I watched the first season on Netflix last week. The season was a bit short but it certainly kept me entertained throughout. I'm looking forward to the second season but It'll likely be a while before it's on Netflix.

Yeah Netflix is how I started watching this show. I heard about it last year but never got around to watching it on AMC. I tore through season 1 on Netflix when I finally started seeing the show and now I can't get enough of it lol.
