over 2000 posts now. that's, what, 650 posts today? wow, i hope scei/pd realise this. release info!

Well the EU playstation boards were asking for questions to ask him tomorrow when they interview him, I just can't see him answering a bunch of questions about GT PSP again, since that is pretty much all he did at E3, I think we will get many more answers about GT5 tomorrow.

seems likely, torontomi, looking forward too it.

i bet i'll have to take benedryl to fall asleep tonight...

so i will.

proof that video games cause health issues.

I think this is extremly clever marketing by PD/Sony. By not saying anything, they are creating far far more interest, net traffic etc, making this the most talked about and awaited game ever.

If they had gone down the normal route, showed the game and told a release date, then it would all have died down in a day or two. This way, they have provoked thousands of discussions and got the fans of the game into near hysteria.

Matt.

The only problem with that though is that it leads the fans to draw there own conclusion, which is normally wrong. This of course leads to those same people being mad when they learn there conclusion was wrong.

Yes, but didn't someone once say, 'There is no such thing as bad press'

Well, i postponed work just to see the conference today, and i missed this info earlier. Everything sounds very good, but a few concerns.

Judging by Amar's original and trusted info, the number of tracks must be wrong. It can't be 20. Maybe Famine is right. (i hope so).

About the cars, doesn't make any sense to say the 830 are from GT4, because GT4 had 719. So were did the other 111 came from? GT3, GT2 and GT1? i doubt they could have used such old assets.

Makes more sense to say that those 830 are seen on GT PSP, because a bunch of cars not in GT4 (111) were made for the portable version. Wouldn't make any sense to have those 111 low detail models for GT5. From what we saw, every new car that was rendered, was rendered in Prologue level's of detail.

I'm not saying the translation is bad, the text could be poorly written. Maybe the guy in charge of updating the japanese GT website got the info from Gamescom (in english or german) and misunderstood the info. Later on, with the internet uproar, they noticed the mistake and took down the info?

Just another wild guess.

I hope the numbers are for the best.

Right now i'm just happy that in some way, i'll be able to play with 1000+ cars on GT5.

Brendan Behan.

You could argue that GI Joe did a similar thing by not having it reviewed before release. No information meant hype, and it ended up selling well.

Unfortunately, by that example the product has to be worse than the public expects so that you gain status that you wouldn't have had if proper reviews/information had been available. I seriously hope that's not what they're doing...

I cannot imagine PD teasing us with Interior views in all cars (except the GTR concept) in GT5P then having a majority in GT5 without them. I think the 840 car count are ones we have seen before in previous GT's (maybe without interior damage?) which would be more than fine to me.

A doujinshi translator has posted a translation on his website Be warned that the rest of the website is VERY not worksafe...

Thank goodness I don't have work *bookmarks site*;)

I don't understand all the negativity? If I can play with ALL of the cars from GT4 rendered in GT5's graphics engine, with improved physics, well I'm rapt!

Bring it on!
My sentiments exactly! :dopey:

Boys and girls, just keep in mind that certain key items, maybe most key items, will be concealed until TGS in a little over four weeks. But what I learned today was enough. Good grief, considering I didn't know if we'd get much more than a trailer this week, to me, this is blowout city! I'm thinking the real definitive racer is coming to my PS3 very soon!

That 830 GT4 car thing had me worried, I thought it had meant no interior view for those cars, but why would they do that after having interior views for ALL the cars in GT5P?
Oh, and did I hear Tesla Roadster?! I'm definitely hyped up now! The Tesla is probably my favorite electric car!

We need to set up an endurance race between the Tesla and Veyron. The Veyron will have to pit every two or three laps but the Tesla will spend 16 hours in the pits every 100 miles or so.
For the price of the Veyron (€1 million/1.4139 million USD), you could afford 12 Tesla's (109,000 USD) and still have $105,900 left over. :dopey:👍

Absolutely !! So many people so quick to hate based on information that is not 100% clear...

Maybe GT5 should include something like this ?

Bambalance... lol that was so funny.

Anyway, I hope we see more stuff tomorrow or the following days. We'll probably have game footage by the time I get up (Lucky Me!)... 7 AM Pacific time which would probably be around 4 PM in Germany? I don't know exactly, but let's just hope for the best.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

the original post on official website as suddenly disapear ..............

http://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/news/

maybe they show the news too late :D:D

I'm betting that it was put up too early, someone realized their mistake and took it down. My guess is that with the show open to the public tomorrow, and a playable demo waiting for them, we will get some new info and that page will mysteriously reappear.👍

Hopefully it will, and in English.

Actually you can not do a one lap with full throttle as tesla overheats or blows a fuse. This has been tested by top gear and finnish tekniikan maailma magazine.
