any new merc. Understeer is barely the tip of an iceberg when I'd start piling the somewhat rude words that fit to these cars. 300-620bhp+? splendid. RWD? excellent. sleek looking coupes? yes. light? hell no. manual tranny? no sir, we have slushboxes only. handling? hasn't been part of our abilities since the 190 Evo II.

they're so bad that even the devil himself wouldn't want them.

I personally believe this is a problem caused by the lack of the ESP present in real life Mercedes. But don't think that it is the same as the driving AIDS in GT4, those are nothing in comparison. Since these Mercedes contain huge amounts of horsepower, Some form of aid is required for the car to do it's best, and the engineers at Benz have tuned the ESP to actually assist the car, not hamper it. I do accept the fact that the automatic transmission they have are a bit outdated and has bad ratios, but if you consider the newer 7-G transmission (still a slushbox), their technology has really taken a huge leap. Well after all, they are still mostly built for straights and less turns, but in GT4 your lacking the most important thing Mercedes is famous for. Their luxurious interior is not something you can experience in the game, From how you open the seagull style doors on the SLR, sit in the bright red Nappa leather, admire the carbon fibre console, to hearing the start-up of the Supercharged V8. This is what makes a Mercedes a Merc.

btw for your info: My mom owns a Mercedes, so my opinions maybe biased.:dopey:

True that, this game doesnt simulate the cars' true onboard stability features.

I think the Tacoma was the worst TRUCK, once beating the truck series in a SSR, I thought it would be a challenge in the Tacoma (its underpowered)... It was more than that, but a pain in the ass better described it. Handled poorly (even with a lot of time tuning, its best was still sad) and under powered still.

This title "Worst Car in GT4" is open to interpretations. Personally I have a few cars I hate, which includes the Chaparral 2D (although it has nice sound). But others may love the car to death.

I would love to say the daimler motor carraige but for me it has to be both the alpine cars. they're rubbish at accelaration, and the handling is surprisingly sloppy.

Have you considered changing the suspension? It is quite floppy, so I bought the full customize and made it a little stiffer, It seemed fine. :)

I made my Alpines a TON stiffer, messed with the LSD settings, too. They're better...but still not perfect.

I'd say the larger of the Daimler carriages, simply for being heavier. It would be more fun if Kaz decided to run them at constant engine speed, instead of the gawdawful electronic rev limiter. X( ((ooh! ooh! 15MPH....NOOOOOO!))

If I weren't a car hog, I'd sell it.

Rubbish acceleration? The very reason the Alpines are so difficult to handle with the DS2 is that the rear-engine balance helps to give them good rear traction.

I used to race them around the Nurb for fun... the older one is better, but the heavier, newer one is more controllable. It's probably as close as you can get to a "vintage" 911 experience on GT4 (besides the BTR), but it's definitely not for the heavy of thumb.

There aren't any I don't really like. All of them have at least one interesting feature I find very cool. But if I'd have to choose one, it would be the Chaparral that looks like a box with wheels at the front and rockets at the back...fugly as hell.

The Chaparral is an awesome car... but that's your opinion so whatever.

Hmmmm... the Subaru 360 that can top out at like 55 mph?

Do you really find the Alpines have good rear traction? I find the alpines struggle with downforce on the rear, they seem to lack any grip at the rear when cornering at high speed, at least thats my perception. I never tried to buy a rear wing for one, I am not even sure if it lets you buy one at all, but i am sure if you could it would seriously subdue their tendency to throw the tail out round fast corners.

Good Sirs,
If thoust would allow an opinion. The Pontiac G6 concept, is to me, a waste of space in my garage. It is indeed a conveyance of secretaries, and girls named Buffy. A John Deere riding mower has more appeal and power, than this feeble excuse of a car,
Yours Voiciferously
Fangio

Wow, that is really funny Fangio! I have never driven it, but it seems like that car isn't what it's supposed to be, now a little rap:
Walkin down, he see a G-6. Reachin' down, he grab his nine. Turn around, he caps that G-6. Fuh shizzle, ma nizzle, all nite. I love doin that.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

No.

Ontopic : How can you not like the Life Step Van? It rules. Just mod it a little bit.

Poor Honda Life Step Van. It's always the first car everyone thinks of when complaining about the lesser models of GT4's car lineup.

Wolfe, I didn't know you still played GT4.

Anyway, my pick for a lackluster car in GT4 is the Toyota Carina, truly worthless, it's better to just pick the Celica.

I won't just ost the slowest cars, or the ugliest. Just the ones that are technically rubbish, or just boring.

Volkswagen Beetle (new) 2.0. In the real world, a dressed-up Golf that's a bit on the sloppy side. In GT4, it's not really exciting enough to bother with, and it's not great to drive in any way. Not that quick, and the handling is very, VERY average.

Daimler Motor Carriage/Benz Patent Motor Wagon. I know about their significance in the history of the car, but I'm afraid they're much better off left in th history book. I don't think you even get 10MPH out of these!

Opel Corsa 1.4. Strong(ish) engine, but otherwise average to drive. Can't corner like a Ford Ka, for instance.

Toyota Prius. Seems to have poor turn-in, whatever the tyres, and you strangely feel a bit detatched driving it. Probably due to the lack of a manual 'box.

Toyota Voltz. *Yawn*

Mazda Familia Sport 20. Could be a decent little saloon, but strangled to death by the 4-speed gearbox, which hinders out-of-corner acceleration and makes it feel rather gutless.

Just tap O when you are going on a downhill. You can get past 60MPH or even 70MPH doing this. :) But by then, the carriage would be very drifty.
