There was a statement by Kaz microtransactions wouldn't be in GTS. The fact you can buy the MB F1 cars and all the current DLC except the 20m cars suggests that PD has fallen for the buy to own (can't quite go to buy to win as you still have to run the race, but it;s a matter if time the PD go to pay to win imo). I'm largely cyniucal and annoyed that we are given the petty option of buy the good cars and to hell with the game, instead of win the good cars,

So it isn't pay to win currently? So you have already changed your mind. Nice one. Congrats. Well Done.

There goes not buyimg an advantage. Anyone in agreement with buying the Mazda 787 and anyone against it?
Ah, we havnt see this tooic yet, well done.... there is NO advantage, sinply being able to buy the less rxpensive cars cheap... seriously grow up. Micro transactions for getting ahead, is like people being able to buy a stage 6 power and weight reduction, or being able to buy lighter doors and bonner on the meghan, or being able to buy less tire wear during races, NOT being able to buy a car everyone has anyway. People are so dumb, just xopying other peoples silly posts trying to get attention and sound smart. Go back to bed

👍

If you cant scrape together $1 mil. credits in normal gameplay then you're the one disadvantaged.

I have received no Group C cars in the daily roulette so I just paid up for the R92CP XJR12 and Sauber C9.

May as well.. that only $4 mil.

I may have overstated a few points (and got caught in a rant :p :) ) There is no inherent advantage. What has my knickers in a twist is that firstly there is no need to buy the cars (a million an hour is easy to get). It shouts money spinner to me, especially among the lazy. It reeks expoitation. It probably won't come to much, but regardless I find it a bad move on PD's part. Secondly PD have reneged on the statement of no microtransactions. While buying cars isn't game breaking, it is a bad faith action that can lead to worse things. The second payouts get nerfed I am walking away from PD. That's not to say they will, but anything is possible, especially when someone acts in bad faith.

“Buy to own”, what a horrible concept.

If we had the option to buy a 20 million dollar car in the psn store, it wouldn't count as "pay to win" because those cars are only used in one make sport mode races.

Pay to win means they charge extra money for the best item. This isn't possible in the Gr classes because they have equal cost.

Please find the statement.

Exactly there is no advantage, and you may not have a need to buy the cars while others will and 3 euro for an hour grind is really not well paid :)
MT is always a problem because it can be a slippery slope and i am against it on principle, but when it comes to implementations this one is really only a principle problem. Nothing has changed in the game, the Unicorns are still Unicorns, there is a theoretical advantage, but that is a very very small advantage and influences very very few players.

Instead i am buying cars i want and supporting a game that needs the support if i want to be supported with new content in the future.

I mentioned it elsewhere. Those post 15 Mil cars are only good for being digital ornaments. There have been no sport races for them, thus only God for liveries/Scapes.

My take on the whole microtransaction fiasco? Well, I’m glad it’s not the levels of Battlefront 2 obnoxious!

Seriously, there is ZERO advantage to buying cars with real money. It’s just an option for people who are either lazy or are grinding credits the wrong way. It’s not like they’re forcing us to pay real money for the new DLC, but they do have that option. I myself am guilty of buying an unlock all content DLC add-on years ago on ModNation Racers, which was the lazy way to get all of the earnable content, and you didn’t see people complaining back then!

Seriously, if you’re just trying to sound all hip and cool with the crowd by complaining about this certain topic (similar to how Sonic fans love to be in the trend of hating on games that the fanbase hates), and you don’t have anything new to add other than what’s already been complained about, then your point is invalid.

Or, given that you're on GTPlanet and we posted our article two days before that link, https://www.gtplanet.net/gt-sport-will-not-feature-microtransactions/

That aside, we've done this. To death. And reanimated it and done it again. Over and over again:
