Missing courses like Seattle Circuit, Infineon Raceway, El Capitan, New York. etc.. really should have been added into the game.
The lack of the RM option (race modified cars) I like that feature in GT5 & was hoping PD would continue it but expand with a lot more varieties.
The Ferrari F1 F10 & F2007 are missing from the dealership, not happy with this PD. Maybe it will appear unlocked later on but not holding my breath.
Well for me the F1's can stay gone, Gran Turismo open wheeler too. They have no place being in a GT game really, but I do like the NASCAR's. Can't have it all my own way I suppose!
The engine sounds. 15 years and we're still listening to a box of angry bee's. This will be the last GT game I buy if this doesn't get sorted out.
When tunning your car, there is no default option to reset the tune back to, well, default!
Where's the fancy suspension modeling system that was suposed to be introduced?
I think it's time the game format changed. It's still based on the earlier versions: gain licenses, complete the license races, wait for seasonal events. It needs change, big change. We don't play games in the same way we played them on PS2 anymore, the online era is here. I only play online games now, it's boring otherwise.
My idea would be to make it purely online based, with the ability to practise offline. Keep the licensing but model it on how it's managed in the real world, e.g. you get your super license after meeting certain racing criteria of time spent in other classes. To keep the super license, you have to keep playing the game orherwise you have to re-qaulify for it.
The cars. More than 3/4 of these should go. There's no need for over 1200 cars. If there was about 60, then PD would have more time to concentrate on the car's characteristics and would be able to nail the engine sounds. Getting real sounds for over 1200 cars is NEVER going to happen. Plus, with only 60 or so PD would also have more time to include more tracks. I'll take a higher volume of tracks than cars anyday. Paul Ricard, Hockenheim, Phoenix, Adelaide, Long Beach etc. All great tracks that could be included. Have the original layouts too instead of the watered down crap they are now. For instance, Spa used to be a mamoth of a track over 8 miles long!
The lobby should be scrapped and changed to Season. You should be able to set a team up with a few of your mates ('specially for endurance racing) so you can have a proper Driver's/Constructors championship within your Season. To get other team members into your season, you could open a qualify system whereby other teams will gain membership by doing time trials. Once all slot's are taken, membership entry is closed. I'm not sure how many cars could be on track at the same time, but other PS3 online games have 32. At minimum there would be 8 teams to a Season with 16 cars or, 16 teams with 32 cars if possible. More on PS4 with multiple calss racing.
From there you'd have FULL management of your Season. How many races you have before the championship is at an end, which tracks you race at, what formula you race, what restrictions are in place, option to disqualify for cheating etc.
The one thing it MUST have, the ability to see/block users using DS3 or wheel & pedals.
All in all, it needs to change it's game mode to emulate iRacing & rFactor more in order to survive.
