And this is official as Sony's official release can be: GT4 release date for PAL (European) territory is on 5th December 2004.

This has been published later today. Release list of SCEE for Q4 of 2004 looks like this (as posted on biggest French PS2 portal www.playfrance.com, so text is on French):


- Jackie Chan Adventures : 1 Septembre
- Sly Racoon 2 : 7 Octobre
- Ratchet & Clank 3 : 15 Octobre
- DJ Radio FG (Date à confirmer) : 20 Octobre
- Killzone : 26 Octobre
- Le Monde des Bleus 2005 : 26 Octobre
- The Gateway 2 : 15 Novembre
- World Rally Championship 4 : 15 Novembre
- Eye Toy Play 2 : 22 Novembre
- Singstar Party Tour (Date à confirmer) : 22 Novembre
- Gran Turismo 4 : 5 Décembre
- Jak 3 : 10 Décembre


Before GT we'll had an opportunity to put our hands on KillZone, Getaway 2 and WRC4. This is going to be one hell of the money-making-Christmas for Sony. Hope this is a final one.

Looks like it'll be the Japanese release for me until the Pal version arrives then.
 
Man, it's hard to believe anything. I'm still hoping for November 14th, the perfect birthday present. :p
 
This is such a great year for games! WOOO!!!

GT4, halo 2, fable, killzone, doom 3, half life 2, rsc2, forza, ut 2004, and stalker, can it actually get any better??? :D

Well it's more like a great year to anticipate games in. Seeing as most of the big titles will be out in the last month of the year after you've spent the other eleven months waiting for them to arrive.

Maybe this is a plan to lessen the blow when they push the date back to next year so they can have Ferrari and/or Porsche! They will gradually push it back.
 
I'm glad to hear that because ISS/ later PES/ is my favourite game. I'm playing it since it's very beggining.
No GT can replace PES :p
I'm just waiting for the internet so I can play against the players from all over the world

This new wheel for GT4- does it work on other games like Driver3 or CMR4?!

2005 for GT4 in Europe. There is no way Sony is going to pack its hits up like that, it just ain't going to happen. :sick:

If they were going to spread thoes titles out it wouldn't be GT4 thats going to miss the Christmas shopping.

PES is the Gran Turismo of football games, unfortunately PES4 won't have online. :(

I think the PES and the GT series are the only two game series that keep me playing, if they didn't exist I probably wouldn't own a console.
 
Maybe they are planning such a late Europe release to give us europeans Ferrari and Porsche as a bonus :) Plus they may fix some of the bugs that may be found in the U.S. vesion. muhahahahahhha
Anyway GTA.SA, and MGS3 will hold me over till December.
 
i wouldn't believe a release date unless posted in an official Sony site (ie SCE, SCEA, SCEE). The only thing on official Sony sites is November 2004 with no specific date. So that's the only legit one now... but whatever it is it can't come soon enough!!!
