I think its nice when there are some rare things in games! it's a lot bigger accomplishment when you got one and you know that only a few people have one of those.

Not trying to pick a fight here but seriously what does it matter who else has something you have, the only thing that matters is that it does or doesn't make you happy.

Is gold chrome likelier to get than silver chrome then? I have 280 cars and just awful matte paints. Pretty sure I won't see any of the chromes anytime soon either.

I'm now on 93% completion. buying regular cars aren't accomplishments but finding a really rare car (or chip) is, especially when you were waiting for that.

Imagine that you were one of the few that had the formula gt few months ago, it was a really rare car that only the lucky ones had. Now you can buy it from the online dealership.

Before that, ppl would trade the most expensive cars on that. now its worth 4kk Cr.

Same thing with the golden chrome and other rare chips, i've seen ppl trading very rare cars from the ucd on the silver chrome when it was rare, now every one has 50 of those.

those are the little things that can make a game really interesting, adding self accomplishments to it.

Maybe you should stop looking to people on forum for extrinsic motivation.
If you're trying to earn or find a car or paint chip, do it. If you feel good about that, more power to you. Looking to a forum for a high five after you succeed is silly.

Unless you were hoping to use your paint chip or hard to find car as a bargaining chip in a trade there is zero practical difference.

Even without duping, think of how many copies of the game sold and are currently being played. An *insanely* tiny fraction of GT5 owners frequent and post on this site. Think of how many people on this site have any given car or paint chip, then extrapolate that out to the rest of the world.

If you didn't log into this site you wouldn't know what was "rare" and what wasn't. Would you no longer be motivated to earn certain things or search out a specific car? You wouldn't know if how many people had it, or how common it was. Food for thought.

I hate chrome paint, but I like that it's being duped. Everyone should have it, along with everything else in the game.

First thing I did with my X1 after completing the Vettel challenge was offer it to countless people who were unable to win the challenge because they have every much right as me to own it and drive it.

I do respect that some people like the collection aspect of things in GT, but why does something need to be rare to be special?

Either way it would be nice if PD could try to please both side. Perhaps when you randomly get something like Gold Chrome, it should come with a certificate of authenticity that can't be passed by trading?

Nope every 30 cars you get a random paint chip. I usually get mattes but some people got the gold chrome

I did not get a silver chrome through collecting until I reached 1080 cars collected. My garage will be full before I receive a Gold Chrome at that rate
