i wish someone would shut young warrior up.

I bought forza because i like these kind of games, yeah handling being realistic is good but the game still needs to be fun. Only snag i have is the nurburgring could maybe be better.

Look you little kids Im 17 and got a xbox especially just for forza and quite frankly forza pyshics are no where as good as gt4. Theyre better than average but gt4 is much better.

Who's the one getting wound up??? Last I checked, this thread was about why you should get Xbox and Forza. It's statements saying why he thinks you should get them. Then you come in, start bashing, insulting people, fanboy this, fanboy that. I don't give a **** (sorry MODS).
Yes you are entitled to your own opinions and are free to express them. But don't start flaming and starting arguements. It's people like you that make these threads unenjoyable to read. End of discussion.

I own both the Xbox and PS2 and own many games for both consoles including GT3, GT4 and Forza.

I got to admit that GT4 is a much "simulation" racing game, Forza was put out there as a "simulation" game as well but thats where half the problem lies.

Forza doesn't play nor feel like a sim, the handling of the cars feel very vague? (spelling) now if it had been put out there as an aracde game like Project Gotham Racing 2 then it might have seemed a much better game.

The other half is the fact that Forza has suffered that neebie on the block feeling, a 2nd Forza game should be a whole lot better. Anyway, verdict, GT4 beats it by a mile but I'm unsure if Forza is even better than PGR2 on the Xbox.

But I think the EXACT oppsite.

I think forza's got some of the best "weight" to the cars i've ever seen on a console racer. where GT4 just seems like the car is stationary......

GT4 just seemed like a driving game minus the traffic and city lights....
 
Some people find Forza vague, or disconnected. Could it be a slower frame rate? I love the handling in Forza, but i too feel disconnected at times. i do feel at home with GT4 but to me the handling is too forgiving at times (bouncing of walls, easy AI). i have to complain about GT4s cars spining their tires erratically, unless its an all mighty 4wd. Forza takes care of these problems, but i miss the GT4 tracks. I can't wait to see a future Forza on the XBOX 360, nor can i wait for GT5.

GT4 is how REAL cars drive...

So I suppose you have driven the following cars.

I'm sorry but the only cars in either game you can "compare" to real life are the civic's and the corollas, and maybe a celica or two..

YOU know i'm right so don't deny it and take your head out of your anus
 
Young_Warrior is the drift king don't cha know! I doubt that Young_Warrior has even driven a car. I've only driven small cars myself(nothing over a 1.8), but driving similar cars to what I've driven in real life in both games, I'd say that the way the cars grip the road in Froza is alot more realistic, this is especially noticable on the corners. Forza suffers from a naff frame rate though, and this kills the feeling quite abit though. There's something not quite right about GT4 I find, the cars seem very rigid and springy, as if the suspension isn't eating the bumps in the road very well. Forza aint perfect either. If you want a realistic sim, games like Live For Speed 2 are the only way to go.
 
I've only dealt with a few moderate/high powered cars.
None of which were exotics, and I say once they're going they're alot more like Forza w/ all the assits off...
But with the assists on they're more similar to GT4
 
I just go by this. The audi's drive like audis the volvo drives like a volvo and the corsa drives like a corsa. So GT4 got these cars quite similiar to their real life counterparts im sure they arent far off some of the more high powered cars.

Yeah, that takes the goodness away, i been playing Forza for a few days and this morning i went back to GT4 for a while and it amazed me at how smooth GT4 is compared to Forza, its very noticable.

It much more fun driving in Forza but its other let down is the nurburgring.

Go play GTR before you bring this GT4 cars drive like the real thing.

1) You haven't even gotten close to 30% of the cars in GT4.
2) I doubt you've driven 90% of them.
 
GT4 cars handle well, but they dont drive that well if you follow me, they handle great until you push them then you noticed these mysterious driving aids that take half the control off you.

No matter how fast your going your car won't have a problem taking bumps even if there was a deffinate gap big enough for a pocket of air to get under..?
 
What happened with forza motorsport, all the hype and all the following of people and it is soooooooooo average, although Because i love racing games and the like, i go and buy an Xbox and sheel out my £40 for Forza.

First few hours and the novelty was good, the game was good, and i liked it. This carried on for a while untill i happend to notice the Frame rate, the way its so slow is really the spoiler for the game. After i noticed this problem, i just couldnt stop seeing it as i played and it really started to annoy me as im used to GT4's 60Fps and sense of speed. Also, why is it that forzas cars have such strange reflections on them, they are poor in detail and also when they pass over the car, they do so in a terribly slow and painful way, why cant it just be smooth and clear like GT, i really expected something brilliant in Forza, but its just not.

Im Sure all the xbox Fanboys will Line up to defend it, but thats exactly my point, why do they jump to defense so quickly? because its so flawed, if it was sooooo perfect , there would be no debate.

All said and done, its an ok game, but thats it, ok, nothing really special. GTR and GT4 and to a certain extent Enthusia blast forza away, its true, its true
 
Think about it, GT has had 4 tries to get it right and they are stellar. The GT series is decent and it does look better then Forza...but Forza has had one try at getting it good and frankly they did a good job.

I enjoy the racing more in Forza then in GT, but like I said GT looks a lot better and well has more cars.

I don't understand why people can't just see both GT and Forza are great games...and you should own both.

I fully understand what you mean. I got a xbox just for forza and hell after 2 days I havent touched it. I still play GT4 however alot. I think americans like forza so much due to the selection of american cars. Oh and because its on a xbox.
