well, when tuned to max, R33 willl have 795bhp, if I recall right.. which is pretty funny, because my R32 V-Spec II spits out 798bhp.. :trouble:

you guys are nuts.

Can anyone help give me some tips on approaching 350+??
I've tried everything i can think of, but i can't even get to 320. While adjusting, i write down every single change, then test, then record mph. I play with the auto, final, and 6th till i max out. I also adjust suspension and downforce, but i'm not sure on what the best settings for these are.

So please, any tips? i dont have the gt-one yet, so im using the Pesky, Minolta, Bentley, and Audi. I've already done over 300 with these, i'm just not sure how exactly you guys are doing it.

thanks

I suggest you play with the downforce as well as suspension. I've gotten nearly 350mph on my Minolta 88C-V as well as the R92CP by carefully modifying the suspension, transmission and the downforce. Remember, everything except for brakes have some sort of an impact on the top speed!

@Leo - you're nuts, man!

Or you can change your speedo to MPH. Go into the options screen and scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on the units button and change to miles.

787B_101,

You should convert the units from km/h to mph within the game. Because we don't know what conversion units GT4 uses to convert speed, it's best to let the game do it, not us. I've converted a km/h speed before and it ended up being 1mph more than the speed GT4 showed me.

Edit: ICEman beat me to it.

yeah but that's cause the game rounds off its numbers. i guess i will change my units of measurement. just annoy me that my game is in mph and all the magazines i read talk about km/h

You can do this:

Play your game in km/h (or mph, whichever one you use all the time) and then when you're about to do a Top Speed challenge, go to Options and switch the units to mph. I always use km/h but with the above steps, I get speeds in mph.

Leo
but I'll let DE have the R33 record, because I just don't like R33's. so, R33 competition will be between you and DE then. I'll stay on R32's and R34's.
That's decent of you :) :sly:

Correct, thanks.

also i can tell you that on gt3 I tuned a Zonda to 1108 bhp and it did 402 km/h which you guys probably think is slow at a measly 251 mph.
This is in the GT4 Car Tuning and Settings forum for a reason.

Anyway, nice job I-Runner, I wonder if you can reclaim the tiny little gap :p
I look forward to a sub-600bhp 300mph car

well, it seems that I'm unable to fight back at the moment, because my new TV decided to lost it's AV-channel.. I'll continue fiddling with it and let you know if I get it working..:grumpy:

I knew you hadn't gone anywhere, MStorm :p

You can try to steal the R33 honours from me Viper, but I'll fight ;) :sly:

Hope you get sorted soon Leo :nervous:

I'm pretty certain the GT-One is not the cheapest option :p

If you take a Used version, I seem to remember that being 2.8 million credits (could be wrong) and that alone puts it well ahead of some cars.

Gillet Vertigo, at 1 000 000cr with only a Stage 3 Turbo can do it, so that's cheaper, but my 300mph R34 only cost me ~300 000cr :sly:

The cheapest is probably the Mitsubishi 3000GT (any year), as you get it dirt cheap second hand, and it can hit 300mph with plenty of room to spare, so you can drop quite a number of the upgrades.

Pink+the_Floyd
Probably the Skyline's and 3000GT' are not the cheapest, who knows which cars out there can stump all of the previous tested road cars...
We do.

MStorm, I did think of the 3000GT but didn't say it because I don't have experience with it myself. It is likely the cheapest buyable 300mph car - of course, prize race cars only cost 85,000cr plus your tyres :p

Well I was purposely discounting prize cars. In that case, the Chaparral 2D is the cheapest, as it can definitely make it no-nos, unless one of the LeMans cars can do it no-nos and on a stage 3 turbo only.

Prize cars and race cars are less interesting when it comes to low cost though. 👍

Maybe the Minolta?

Actually what am I on about saying no NOS! A Stage 3 with NOS is still valid, and cheaper than the Chapparal 2D's Stage 4. The Minolta can almost certainly do that. :dunce:
