283mph at 5500rpm in a toyota supra rz
is that good enough?
Well, this is a 300MPH club... So I reckon it'll only be valid if you add another 17MPH and a picture to proove it.

Read the thread title, then reconsider your question.loghead283mph at 5500rpm in a toyota supra rz

That's a Nissan R92CP right? It's hard to tell because the scanlines of your TV happen to be obscuring the car name, but I'm making a guess based on the car colour strip which is still visible.wahey, 334.67mph![]()
If it's the Nissan R92CP you posted, then your almost 20mph off the current record, so it's not just 9.2mph that you need to find.i can't find that other 9.2mph that Team666 managed, though.![]()

It might be a Nissan R89C though... (the only 300mph car I don't own... yet)! 👍
Yes, it is, you can just make out the lettering.MSThat's a Nissan R92CP right?
Guys like 2078TM, MS and Toronado spend weeks, not hoursfrewin69i tried for about an hour, every setting on optimum
It really depends on the car. With some cars I've managed to beat the record in just a few runs, whereas others I've had spent a lot of time fine tuning things. Mostly it comes down to how much competition theres been for the cars record in the past and who else is working on the car at the same time, so cars like the Bentley Speed 8, Nissan R92CP, Supra RZ and Chaparral 2D are going to be a lot harder to improve on than other cars. I spent a lot of time on the Tommy Kaira ZZ-II when I took the road car record for the first time (losing it shortly after to I-Runner), but this time around I had some new techniques to use which I learned from tuning the Skyline, so it took much less time.Guys like 2078TM, MS and Toronado spend weeks, not hoursand if you're 20mph short of the record as in this case, every setting is not optimal

Don't say that. I've already started working on the tranny. As for the discussion about the Zonda, I know that myself and 2078TM have just about reached 298mph in the Zonda Race Car, but theres really very little left to tune by that point.
MS(except with a certain set of 4WD cars)
Toronado*cough* *cough* Skyline *cough* *cough*
D.E.Cars like the Skylines and, I assume, the Tommykaira, are rather different to anything else, as they seem to be quite able to break 300mph with one method of setting them up - but a totally different method is required to get the ridiculously high speeds they're really capable of.
ToronadoIf there is one thing I've learned from my 300mph experiences, its that if I wasn't so incompetent at suspension tuning, I would be far better
Hopefully not, because the Black cars have him beatOpendriverSO your saying that you have the highest mileage 300 MPH car?
I'm told that in a perfect (or as near to perfection as anyone will ever get) setup, everything except the brakes will have been changed. I'm sure there's a few more things you can do without needing to go into LSD settings at this stage. Good luck! 👍AquendwatoRight now I'm just 5mph away in a TVR Cerbera Speed 12 and at a complete loss of things to change. Does LSD have any effect on getting to 300?
At only 27,000? Not even close.SO your saying that you have the highest mileage 300 MPH car?
Thanks. I am now going to try the Chaparral 2J, and I'm pretty confident I can manage it as I got it to 270mph in a preliminary run! I'll keep you updated
