Checking your video now, suchayo... Suddenly there's records everywhere

I'm not entirely sure about it. I know the car is capable of the speed, but I'm not certain this one did it legitimately. The best thing to do now for verification, is for you to make another video from Replay Theatre as that one was, but zoom in on the wheels in PhotoMode at key points of the final run. Cheers.

That's a hell of a photo for the GT-One, but they all count
You now hold two consecutive leaderboard spots, along with Toronado who's done it more than once, and Opendriver who nearly has 4 at one point (covering 31-36) :scared:

Thanks :)

I see, the most consecutive leaderboard spot still open .

Video, nice car and nice spark . Funny that body scratching as much as this do not slow the car down .

That video is awesome! Love the sparks 👍 I didn't get sparks like that on my 319mph run. Guess I need to do some more tuning.

Yeah, we tend to get some pretty mental sparks on speed runs :o it is strange that GT4's physics decide not to penalise us for it, but I'm not going to complain

It's pretty rare to have consecutive leaderboard spots - it's hard to do on purpose, it just sort of happens! ;)

I'm going to have to get my R8 out again, and try to put it past 355mph :)

Try lowering the height on R8 and you see plenty of beautifull sparks :D.

I think it's easier to do than getting the bottom spot :). I don't have to get 0.001 top speed difference :scared:.

That was accidental the first time round, but the 300.00 was 100% intended  Thanks.
It's not as hard as you think ;)

Ny personal record is at 325 mph with the GT-ONE,

But how do you guys do that wheelie trick? I could do it in GT3 but in GT4 it doesn't seem that the font wheels are coming off the track :grumpy:

Hi Floyd, it's been a long time since I've seen you, has that inter-team challenge fell through?

I knew you'd try the GT-One :) and I'm not about to tell you how to do the wheelie because I don't like glitching the game, but when you're reaching the higher speeds and you start to figure out what's best for making the car go quickly, you end up with a wheelie accidentally most of the time. It's happened to my R8 once or twice, sometimes the tiniest change lifts the fronts. The GT-One is a terribly wheelie-susceptible car, as well :nervous:

So that means that we'll have to set it up very carefully and just right or else it will wheelie?
I think downforce has much influence in wheelie, but as I only play GT4 in 6 effective hour total, this is just a guess :p.

 You're not far wrong for a guess, suchayo! Downforce has a lot of influence, but spring rate and dampers also make a big difference, along with ride height (front in relation to rear)

Is it just me or the wind in max speed outer corner is louder? I hug the inside because of this.

It's louder because you're travelling at a faster speed than you were when you entered the turn off the first straight.

i.e. You entered the turn at say 240 mph, you exit the corner at 270. Faster speed louder wind. Make sense?

There is like 2 threds on this "wind noise"
I hope they change it in GT5 or vision GT

That is not what I meant. I am saying that the wind noise is louder in the corner outside than the corner inside. So I am thinking that wind resistance is higher in corner outside than corner inside.

i have a big doubt here
how the hell did the Mitsu 300GT reach 300mph?
can anyone post the settings?
You use wrong gear? auto 25 won't get you near 340mph on Audi R8

Right. I see. I don't actually attempt 300 too far beyond the inside white line. I think there is some degree of increased wind resistence the further towards the outside guardrail you go. I found that if I stayed more on the inside of the track, the easier it was to control the car, with an overall higher topspeed.

This might be for regular races, to invoke the slipstream effect. I.E. Like the Wind races, or the F1 race in the fgt series in GT3.

I see, feel the same way too.

I'm pretty confident about the legitimacy of the 3000GT speeds, but if you want the settings you'll have to talk to one of the holders, I haven't done it myself 👍

I've noticed these wind resistance/noise descrepancies as well, and I think I've worked out what it is - the tall inside wall of the corner is taking away some of the resistance as you go around it, and holding you in on the inside line, but when you get towards the end of the corner that wall falls away, so the resistance increases. You've probably also noticed that you start to run wide towards the end of the turn - that's not the speed, that's the lack of shelter from the wind.

Well, that's what I think, anyway :p

Yes I notice too, a bit late though, I only start hugging when driving the Audi R8........
