ToronadoThat's because you used the normal 3KGT. You need the 10km special VR-4 3KGT.
Well...check my signature for the 300 mph leaderboard, and you´ll find several Supras above 300 mph!ToyThomI got 297mph with My Supra RZA street car

I was thinking along these line earlier today also, Ideally people would have accounts, and they could select a car from a list, enter a speed and upload thier evidence. Later a mod could verify the speed, and it would be added to the list. It would be pretty straight foward to make it searchable by car, driver, get the fastest speed of each car, list only NN or road car records etc...Bigracer...DE question for you: how difficult would it be to change the 300list into some sort of little database, where you can search the cars and speeds you're looking for?
Bigracernew car, new speed.
mercedes sauber c9: 325.16
only third place but i don't mind.
DE question for you: how difficult would it be to change the 300list into some sort of little database, where you can search the cars and speeds you're looking for? alternatively maybe you could make second lists sorted not by speed but by car. you might steal flatout's leaderboard setup to make it easier.
He says, two hours after I postedFormulaGT(now where's DE got to...)
LeonidaeI have a solution for bouncing: don't use race cars.![]()
real topspeed chasers use Roacars, because there's more challenge in them.

Ehm... I'm not actually certain, to be honest. It's not a very commonly posted thing, but unless my memory has omitted a very low-powered car then it is the newly entered Mitsubishi FTO SuperTourer.DaanI'm curious. What is the lowest powered car to reach 300mph, and how much did it have?
You're absolutely spot-on with that. You seem to be extremely well-informed for a new driver! You really know what you're doing, and how to improve, and so on, very well. That happens to all race cars, although I will add that my R8 is doing about 305mph at the corner exit (going on to reach 351.17mph). Keep on going, you've 'got potential'! 👍MasterStormI reckon if I can stop the thing bouncing and just stay 'up' in the air (albeit with grounded wheels), then I may be able to garner a few more mph.
Well, my version of the leaderboard running from my computer does function like a database, but it's not possible to upload that for everyone's use.how difficult would it be to change the 300list into some sort of little database, where you can search the cars and speeds you're looking for?
Thanks. I'm not really that new to Gran Turismo, just new to the forums. I hope I can continue to keep improving my speeds, and I'm gonna take a try at the drifting in the other forums, as it not somthing I've ever tuned for and it looks fun!Dark EliteYou're absolutely spot-on with that. Could always just modify my idea to remove the submitting part, and just have one or two people who can verify records from here and add them into the DB. I can help host (and probably make it lol) if your hosting doesn't allow databases.Dark EliteWell, my version of the leaderboard running from my computer does function like a database, but it's not possible to upload that for everyone's use.
MasterStorm's idea (Post #3248) is a good one, but would be pretty tough to program and would actually totally negate this thread - and we don't want that! It's a good concept, but I think it'd make things too impersonal.
I meant before I hit the NOSMasterStormI think the exit speed on your R8 is higher because the NOS on it last longer, and thus you kick it in much earlier (I don't know the R8 well enough to verify).
Ahhh, NOS timing. The essential thing with that is dependent on you car. If the car takes 50-shot like the Pescy '04 does, you want to start using it 3/4's to 7/8's through the turn. The Minolta (I believe) takes 70 shot. In that case, you want to start using it immediantly after the turn starts to straigthen out.MasterStormI think the exit speed on your R8 is higher because the NOS on it last longer, and thus you kick it in much earlier (I don't know the R8 well enough to verify). For example, on my 88C-V I dont NOS until the start of the tunnel, but with my Pescarolo I'm on it before the corner ends. Subsequently I'm exiting at around 302mph with the Pescarolo, yet the final speed is less.
Never!!! Ha ha ha! I must commend MasterStorm, however, for beating my '03 Pesky record, as it seems to stop a bunch of would-be '04 drivers.DEMasterStorm, that Pescarolo is pretty close to Toronado's hard-fought record - think you can take it?
Yes yes. The original 300MPH struggle. Back then truly innovative means had to be used in getting it near 300 (like custom tuned gears and LSD). Now it's little more than point-and-shoot.DEToronado, that's a neat improvement for the old Gillet - I didn't realise it was so long ago that the original speed appeared! It gave you a lot of trouble back then, so I can only assume that those six months have taught you a bit
I already did... seems you mised my post a few above yours which has faster times for both the Pescarolo '04 and the 88C-V. Heres the links again.Dark EliteMasterStorm, that Pescarolo is pretty close to Toronado's hard-fought record - think you can take it? I'm just waiting to see if you can come up with another 360mph+ speed for us! Downloading 88C-V video now...
Thanks! They make it much clearer to see whats going on, which for runs like my 88C-V one above where its literally on the edge of doing a wheelie can be a real advantage.Dark EliteWatched your 88C-V video, MasterStorm, and that's a legitimate run! Nice job! 👍
Me likey capture card videos![]()
Yep, it does.the GrinchThe Minolta (I believe) takes 70 shot.
???Dark EliteWatching vid (I love YouTube, totally instant playing for me!)... Yes, let's cane it on the start line (sensible start nonetheless).

Ah great idea (about using PhotoMode on the replay), I had not thought about doing that. I'm pretty unsure about the legitmacy myself too, so if PhotoMode does show any liftage I will gladly have it disallowed. Thanks for the idea, I will definitely use it in future to avoid any false calls.Dark EliteMasterStorm, you're right, that is very close to call... If you don't mind, I think it needs a little more checking. I've watched it plenty of times, but video quality isn't really enough to be sure... I assume you've saved the replay? If you have, could you please take some PhotoMode photos from the replay, along the back straight and at the point where the top speed was reached, paying particular attention to the front wheels? Just to make certain, you understand, I'm not doubting the legitimacy of the speed. Thanks 👍
I was referring to revving the nuts off the car on the start line, then moving off in 2nd with no wheelspinthe Grinch
Thanks. The PhotoMode cameras always show up the tiniest wheelie, that could easily be missed in normal replay, and thanks for checking it and being honest. Of course it won't be held against you, if you knew it was illegitimate, that might be held against youMasterStormAh... disallow my speed, for a brief moment down the back straight the front wheels lift by about a centimetre. I had to get a very low camera and zoom right in to see it, but it's definitely up. I kinda feel like a criminal now for posting up an invalid run. Hopefully it won't be held against me. :'(
Absolutely no problem at all downloading the files. It's a two-sided coin, as I like to have the videos on my hard drive for later review if needed (like with yours), but its convenient to run them straight away like on YouTube. To be honest, either way if just fine.MasterStormOn a side note, is it a problem having to download my replays? You mentioned that you like YouTube as it starts up instantly for you. If you really want I can upload there instead (I don't know how to but meh).
Just doin' my jobMasterStormOnce again, thanks for the PhotoMode tip.
MasterStormThat more than made up for the sadness caused by an earlier Pescarolo run... [screen]. If you can't beat em, join em heh!
George MorleyI think r3erx's times should be deleted from the Leaderboard now he's banned an' all, but it's your choice![]()
Just glad I was able to increase the speed a touch afterwards.Dark EliteBad luck! Nice speed, though.
Will get back to you on that one.Dark EliteHope to see a legit 360+ speed soon![]()
The Chaparral takes like 27 seconds to do the first 400 metres when it's geared like that heh. I'll get a vid clip shortly. It might only be 302 or 303 in the run, but thats still 300+.Dark EliteInteresting you mention the Chaparral doing 300+ in first gear, that brings me on to ask how many gears your Pescarolo uses?
I don't know who they are or what they did, but if you mean banned from the forums, then no, because that doesn't affect the legitimacy of thier speeds. If you mean banned from the 300mph club (because of cheating or such) then of course they should be dropped. I think if they do get dropped, then the maximum overall speed record might get a bit of new challenge. Not least from myself.George MorleyI think r3erx's times should be deleted from the Leaderboard now he's banned an' all, but it's your choice![]()
I just loaded up and took a look, it's currently at 31875.1 miles. I have both the rollcage and body refresher program, so the mileage shouldn't matter? Any information would be appreciated in respect to that.opendriver19abtw MasterStorm, what mileage is you supra?
opendriver19a*raises hand* I second that!!
-Then I can change my sig!
