viper

I'm .... stopped .. at 296.50 mph :grumpy:

I hope you break the barrier 👍 👍

---------------------------------

In this days i'm trying to rebuilt the old setting for the Skyline
(and for the ZZ2.. too .. i'm always far to MS ... )
and this is my best speed with the skyline .

Nissan Skyline GT-R34 V-SpecII Nur 324.71 mph (522.56 km/h)

We'll soon find out, if he gets lucky with it

sadly i have to say that my project can't reach 300mph. my best was 293,33mph! i literally hit a wall there, and i talked with some other tuners about that car and they also said that it's not possible.......

I-Runner
I'm .... stopped .. at 296.50 mph

I hope you break the barrier

i'm faster than this, but not much......

I got up to 327 tops on my r92cp nissan its really fast All I do is set the nitrous up all the way, every upgrade, and it seems to be faster tahn the suzuki escudo pikes peak

why not post a pic then Dilbones and get on the leaderboard? :D and to get even faster try altering the gearing 👍

Nice work, Sa!!yz~Rage, just take care! :p

mt00
to get even faster try altering the gearing
I'd be very, very interested if he got to 327mph without altering the gearing ;)
But yes, mt00 is quite right, I can only put you on the Leaderboard if you post a photo as per the rules in Post #1, Dilbones!

Backup Leaderboard Updated
Much frustration on my part concerning the backup Leaderboard page... Bravenet is inserting banner ads and a popup code into it after I save the file. Comparing the source code from the on-air page and the code of the page I send to Bravenet, there are about a dozen lines of code in the one you guys see that simply aren't there in the code I upload. What that means is, there's absolutely nothing I can do about the banners being there - this is one of the reasons why FreeWebs was always my favourite provider, they don't do things like this to my pages. I apologise for the inconvenience and ugliness of the damn things, but I cannot get rid of them. Sorry guys.

After I 'broke' my TS020 I went and bought a Pescarolo '04, wanted something with more color... :D Now onto the Toyota sale for sure.

(I'm always careful, something about 'checking it twice?') 👍

try here they are the best free host, no adverts AT ALL.

Well iI have yet to hit it! I'm working out the Cadi Cien now. Me and a freind are trying...

How about settings for that babe?

Not sure if this has been said already, but 300mph is nothing, back in GT3 we were all hitting the speed of light with the Escudo on Seattle
We know. But we don't take advantage of untintentional screw-ups in the game's programming to reach our speeds... :p

Picc84, you could continue to ask for settings... Or, you could get out there and teach yourself how to tune it? ;) 👍

DE

I kinda gotta agree there, I mean some of the things you do to a car to gain speed are totally counter to aerodynamic principles and application. I mean lifting the nose of a car doing 230mph with a tunneled undercarriage will send you into the trees... It won't help you in any way that's good that's for sure. :scared:

Okay, so the bugs we exploit in GT4 aren't quite as flagrant as those in GT3, how's that sound?

But yeah as Sa!!yz~Rage says, if we tuned real cars like we do in GT4 we'd be doing backflips.

I whiled away an afternoon having a play at this.

Easy start - took the black TS020 up to 308.88mph without too much trouble.

Put the Cerbera S12 up to 302.98mph with a bit more effort...

... then I saw the RS6 Avant post and thought "I gotta get me one of them!"

Watched the vid, fiddled around... I can make the big wagon hook faster and get up to 220 a fair bit quicker than the demo vid of the RS6, but I'll be bothered if I can make it have that magic 'boost' that the sedan seems to find in top past 260odd. I got mine, working hard all the way, up to 283.59mph. I'm hitting the nitrous a little way before the exit of the turn, but it just won't fire up. It's set at 50, and I'm a PAL/DFP user...

Anyhow. gave up with that, tried the Audi le Mans. Whips up to 200mph a fair bit quicker than the Avant, but nuhuh, no go. It brick walls at 277-odd. I reckon if you could fit a wing or pump up the front ride height, it might go faster, but I'm stuck. Anyone else want a go?

I'm not fussed about fame, but I will post a pic of my top ten leaderboard if someone demands it. :)

Uh...we do. How many times did you see a Skyline at 320MPH?
I said 'unintentional' screw-ups - such as the wheelie glitch, which I know is nothing more than the extreme part of the aerodynamic issues that allow us to go so fast, but more the ability to leave the boundaries and friction coefficients of the circuit. BobK makes a more accurate summary of what I was trying to say.

Hi there :)
You'll probably find the Audi RS6 to be one hell of a strange car to use early on - although, at this stage, all 300mph tuning likely seems a little odd :p - due to its 4WD drivetrain. 4WD cars behave very, very differently to cars that only drive the rear wheels, and require a certain method of tuning. It's very common to see a 4WD car that will get to a given speed very easily, then hit a wall that you don't seem to be able to pass. All of a sudden, a couple of key changes will make it 10 or 20mph quicker - I've been there :dopey:

Anyway, have fun playing around, and see if you can find another car for the Leaderboard - we've had a few recently, making me think there could be more out there 👍

hehe, sorry guys, was just winding you up. i loved the 400mph challenge in gt3 on the escudo, so go for it! the speed of light thing was icing on the cake really, more to say you've done it, rather than it actually being anything good.

like the mile high club...

What I find interesting and what makes it fun, is that even though the game has these 'things' coded into it that allow wild speeds and stuff, you can't just strap everything onto the car and expect to zip along at 370 mph. Sure everyone can hit 340 mph even 345 mph, but there is a real skill to manipulating the settings and driving to get beyond that without lifting off the ground that's for sure, and that's the fun part. 👍

I mean how many times have you been right on the edge of what you think is that 360 mph run, you make a slight adjustment and bingo! You're back to 339 mph for no apparent reason.

So ya there are some weird things, but it all works. (most of the time)

I finally made it past 300mph in my MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89
I have my picture proof taken on 6/6/07
