I used to use the chase cam. Then during GT Academy I switched to the hood cam and haven't looked back since. Awesome times Bandit and Joker. I need some catching up to do

EDIT: it is definitely possible to go faster, I lost at least 1 tenth on the way into the final sector as my adrenaline shot up when I saw -0.503 faster than my ghost

Thanks to your ghost I have now improved up to an 1:18.5xx i was .4 up on that at the end of the second sector and was surprised to see the split and had a panic attack and spun... haha

I still can not get anywhere near your first sector time.. or your last

Ok I'm making progress here I'm now at a 1:17.272 in 14th place. Still the fastest DS3 by several tenths and the 2nd fastest without Active steering. I got so nervous on the last sector that my muscles tightened up ALOT I ended up loosing about 2 tenths there and I hope I can catch them tomorrow.

By the way... I changed the toe settings on Stotty's setup and believe it or not, I'm using this:
Front: -0.70 Rear: -0.20 (not a typo)

I found it very odd that Stotty was using positive rear toe in the first place honestly.

Been trying all the different tunes for the '09 and just really need to settle on one and adjust to my style of driving. Got a 1:20.007 tonight pretty happy with that. Only have 20-30 mins a night to try some runs. Keep getting up .500 and then making a mistake in the last sector. Have to be really smooth to make a good time that is a given. Really liking this TT.

Click on the yellow play sign lad.. Am currently 266th after a week of not being on it.. I dont use abs or any aids.. Am the 3rd fastest with no abs.. Wish their was time trials With no assists.. Not because use cant do it its because i cant use abs.. Or active steering my mind wont let me stamp the brake like that..

i'm so glad i saved the replay from what i believe is Bandit's first top 10 entry - the 17.2.
Cause I don't know if yall see it the same way, but for me, in those 4 tenths it goes from thinking "oh if i learn his turn in(etc) points i could get pretty close" to calling in Fox Mulder.

Your doing great then i have had a wheel since august but i only learned with no abs at the start.. I cant use abs because my steering lock produces enough understeer to pop your shoulder lol fastest time so far 18.912 so crap compared to you guys.. But then i dont use abs or active steering but hey am still ****

To be honest, I improved to a 1:17.160 but I still went back to using the ghost from the 1:17.231 because I already had the reference points figured out

Yeah i know what you mean by flapping out lol.. Its always at that funny off camber right hand just after the second bridge.. Tricky corner lots of time to be gained their i know i can take 2 tenths of that 18.441 but ive improved my time by 0.6 tonight so am happy

Just done a quick shakedown before I'm off to college, I tried adapting my previous setup slightly by changing the rear toe to 0.05 and increasing acceleration sensitivity to 15, initial runs show that it is easier to control and still fast so maybe this is the right way to go?

I had mine 0.08 on the front an 0.12 on the rear slighty different when you dont use abs.. I duno how i do it but i control turning my car with no abs using brake pedal, I need the plus toe too stable it a bit.. Maybe thats where am going wrong :/ plus it no good with. Dfgt..the pedals arent great..

I hear you but then using no aids is your personal choice as using a DS3 is mine and I know that I pay a penalty for that but isn't that half the fun? Trying to compete with the others but doing it your way?

I found it very odd that Stotty was using positive rear toe in the first place honestly.

I got a tune from someone for the ZR1 right at the beginning of the event, which was running -0.20 +0.15. When I switched to the C6 I started by just transferring the suspension settings across, but I’d already changed this to +0.20 +0.10.

With full rear ballast (and a relatively low levels of rear camber), the C6 doesn’t feel like it needs much help rotating on entry so I haven’t tried negative… my expectation was that negative rear would make corner exits more tricky.

As it is, I think the tune feels really nice and it’s clearly fast enough in some people’s hands

Only thing I’d like to change is to reduce the mid corner part throttle understeer, but only if that doesn’t make it harder to get on the throttle.

The +ve front toe discussion we had some weeks ago has been a bit of an eye opener… I’m now a complete convert and much prefer the way it feels to –ve.

Then took the C7 prototype corvette for some laps around the Deepforest TT, and earned silver at best for now. 1s from gold.

I tried this last night late on after a few beers and little smoke... 10 laps with the DS3; 1'24.3xx, but a pad expert will probably run mid/low 23's. The car handles really, really nicely stock... it feels quite weighty, but the weight transfers themselves are lovely.

I would like to thank Stotty for his tune very nice ride. I am a rubbish driver but find that you guys are very good drivers and fantastic at tuning. Makes my driving appear to be half decent when I am in a good tune. To all you guys on this thread you are educating a novice thanks.

Not sure how using ABS causes that, and in any case, you're doing something seriously wrong if that's what's happening Try slowing down a bit more for the corners and you won't get that level of understeer

I'm imagining a situation where a guy rolls into E.R. on a trolley.
Both arms in a sling. Nurses just shake their head and the Doctor says
"Another noob using ABS".

I had a go without Active Steering or ABS earlier on my 2nd account,
