Quick Calculation.. It says 1:17:080 an that would be 8th an then i would quietly get up an grab the nearest whiskey bottle an neck it :) p.s i changed my steering wheel settings from simulation to professional seems to be working fine :)

Yea am the same! :( i take breaks of days then come back an smash it maybe 12hours straight lol an maybe do another all nighter the next night lol.. I know its time to stop when my head hurts an i struggle to type :( ahhhh well this is my best sector times an i would be thankfull if someone could tell me my perfect lap time so far :)
First Sector is 21.804,28.532,26.744 << thats my best so far.. What time would that get me??

How does it work say i was trying to qualify for GTAcademy an i used the Irish Flag am i still competing against the Uk?

Lmao harry potter! :D yet you did post a time of 17.8 with no abs an i have great respect for that :) i reckon with no abs you are more aware of the risk an its having the skill an talent an courage to push it to that limit an thats why i never learned abs untill tonight.. Going to watch the full grand prix of A.Senna & Prost at suzuka.. Cockpit View the entire race now thats what i call TV lol :)

Sorry but i couldnt get it to work.. But thanks for your help its very much appreciated :) well so far its 1:17.080 but i suspect this will improve as time progresses.. Am a believer that their are limits but limits are their to be broke an i think an lap can be improved :)

When you change the setting of the wheel like you did that only works for 200 degree wheels I think mate

Thanks, I will need it :sly: I know Amo has at least another tenth in the bag, if you watch his lap and go on the timing screen you will see on his previous lap he has an even better middle sector :scared:

His entry to the double apex right isn't as good as it could be as I can gain quite a bit on his ghost there... but still, it's a great lap.
 
Any of you faster guys had to tweak final gear?
When i get a descent exit of last bend i hit the rev limiter just before breaking for first bend.

Why not create one on spreadsheet its simple enough.
Thats what i did. Even got it to total best sectors and second best sectors.

Why re-invent the wheel? That's one of the first laws of programming. It works fine, can't understand what McBride was doing ;)

Of course if you want to do more than add splits go ahead. Excel is a wonderful program, but the original question was adding up 3 splits :)

Its ok i just added them together :) I ended up with 77.080 an that is 1:17.080 :)

Its not about your straightline speed it helps.. But when i brake its 160.. Brake early turn in an get the power straight back on.. You know yourself that the exit is more important so just concentrate on nailing your line :)

Sorry this has nothing to do with timetrial but whats division gold an that? An how do u change your signature to all that fancy stuff haha... Plus am still a new member since last july lol..

Unlucky mate plenty of time yet :) your current rank is 63rd with a time of 17.900

To get in the top 50 you need to beat 17.771 :)

Trust me you'll get their i am fed up looking 17.7's lol

Please tell me no one use power assisted steering... The more aids i use the more it turns arcade :(
 
Currently at 2.05kbh my other car has 1.92kbh i will test the lighter car which still has 600bhp :)

For some reason am sure its quicker..

Divisions in people's signiatures represent where they qualified in the GTPlanet qualifier... which enables you to take part in the Weekly Racing Series (WRS) and to use the GTP tag.

Re; the bolded part above... almost all RWD cars I've driven in real life will automatically countersteer to some extent when you get them sideways. I currently have a Porsche 996, and when that starts to slide I can let the wheel slide through my hands until it reaches the right amount of opposite lock and then catch it.

In GT5 I use power steering just like both my real cars have - it just changes the weight of the steering, nothing more.

Makes no difference with a G27.... the settings don't affect the wheel.

You need to become a manager or a director... then you can sod off home when you feel like it and leave others to do the work :D
 
Good news, I've finally figured out how to match Amo's time in the last sector :sly:

EDIT: Lady Gaga came on my ipod with her song 'Edge of Glory' I'm singing 'I'm on the edge of friction!' :lol:

If you think you have enough room then stretch 6th slightly.. If your getting more than 160 it will be crazy when the front lifts before the first corner :) lol
