TBF, in real life, there are MANY Suzuki swift sport rentals around the Nurb for amateurs wanting to enjoy the nordsch in a driveable sporty car. It's usually the first option, before going for more powerful car like the Clio RS or the almighty Megane 3 RS.

The results for TT146 at 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit in the Gr.1 are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards. A reminder that each driver's results for every TT is in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

Here are some statistics for TT147 at Red Bull Ring in the Gr.3. I won't do interims for the AMG Monza one unless someone is desperate to see that.

Absolutely ! My post was not directed to those irl but simply a nod to the difference in what is happening on the track this weekend and pd's choice 🤷

Of course I'll run that crappy swift but I am not that motivated. If it had been a crappy 208 it would have be the same 🤣 I like fwd cars though
 
Don't think I've ever had Gold at the burg before..... The overall pace of car minimises my lack of speed and lack of memory around this track compared to the top guys 😂😂 still amazed that I'm 12 seconds down on the top time though, following the ghost it didn't seem that slow!

Did one "safe" lap and I managed this as didn't wanna lose 8 minutes of my life due to track limits etc. Not sure if track limits are very strict or not but I guess if I do try and push this I'll find out 😊
 
I am sitting at 1:31:189 in the Red Bull Ring, Group 3, with the Mitsubishi Final. Took me 30 minutes and some failed laps to get there, but barely sitting at gold. I am not sure if it will hold at all, but I might give it a go in a day or two, as I am sure I can reach the 1:30:xxx if I improve my exits in sector 2/3.

yes, I know, I don't write often, but I read you every day.......but here, I was too happy last night to finally be in gold at Le Mans....I wasn't far off some time ago with the Bugatti Gr4, but I didn't make it. ...😫

it's my 46th gold medal, (I want 50....) and I've rarely been so high up in my friends' rankings....😅...especially since Jéjé and Pesselles transferred to aliens.....😂😂

I was stuck at 3'13.500, but on Tuesday evening, I managed to find 1 second and signs telling me that there was still more to gain.....
so last night, I tried before dinner but 300kms later: no improvement...😡... a good meal, well watered down, I set off again with 2gr of alcohol in my blood 😂😂😂and after 100km I'm golden by the skin of my teeth.....one last run to get a bit of margin, taking care of my entries to get out better and here I am in 3'10" 896......😎😎😂😂😂

I was overjoyed.....I think I'm going to celebrate my 76th birthday 4 months early....🥳🥳😅

at the RBR, with another account, I'm golden and should be able to stay there and the same at Monza. .....in gold and unless it goes too low I think I'll be able to stay there.....that would make 48.....

I love the Schliefe and it will depend on how the Suzuki behaves for 49th.....
I've just watched a video of the 1st, he's full throttle all the time....🤔🤔..I'd be surprised if I mastered that cariole like that......

a lawnmower would suit me better......😂😂😂

You are not. It is just the fun tonic I was waiting for. May still not do more than my current very low mileage, but at least I'll smile while doing it.
I would love to find the time and motivation to grind this a little. It's certainly much better than most of the recent trials. Seems we've had a run of super boring (for me anyway) lately.

Now I've said this, watch me struggle to even gold it. 😬🙃
 
I took one look at the new TT and my 1st thought was WTF?

I took 2 laps around the Nurb and came to the conclusion that it's a pretty nice, calm drive! The little Suzuki has just enough power to carry it through so it doesn't feel like your dragging a fat kid up hills on a trolley and it also affords the opportunity to do some sightseeing and nature watching while cruising around. I saw a drunk man eating bratwurst in a hedge, 3 deer posing at the Karussell, and a random wildebeest dancing near the start/finish line.

All in all, enjoyable, not sure I'd be so happy though if the aliens start ripping into the gold time... which of course, they will.

Did a few sighting laps, my biggest issue atm (not my only one 🤣) is some of the ghost reset points but it level with me, this is tricky coming in to the last corners for example 🤣 but fun drive and happy with my initial time especially as I don’t revere nords as much as used to.

man...all my homies getting golds after a couple laps even though they are "unfamiliar" with Nurb and here's me with all my thousands of laps of familiarity barely squeezing off a silver time after 4 laps. But...that's with the controller and I'm not great with the controller so that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Plus, the AC unit is running and I can't really hear the engine sounds. Plus, I've only had one coffee so far this morning. Plus, my back hurts...

You are lucky my friend! I had all that plus mine was out of petrol this morning 🤣
 
What do we think gold is likely to be? Last time the porks at the ring were super tough. For now I've got an 8.28 on a second lap, wonder if that will stick?

As some of you know I absolutely hate the nurburgring as a race track, as a time trial though it makes sense. I said I wouldn't do another nurburgring guide but todays was really fun! I really did enjoy it as it felt more about car control and such!

Went straight to austria and got my Mission accomplished... I cannot speak much about my lap so nobody can feel provcated... 😁 Maybe I will return with the GT-R as my optimum is still the quarter of a second lower! Off to Monza...

I was & am happy that the Nurburgring was chosen but finding the Swift car a little underwhelming. It feels as if the TT is more like an exploratory lap around this legendary track.

I just drove 3 laps around & every lap I did get faster & my understanding of this car's dynamics got clearer. Am just inside the Gold territory with a PB of 8:32:019.

It should be an overall satisfying TT because it can never get boring or old driving around the magnificent Nurburgring.
 
At last, I can take my time and enjoy the wonderful Eifel scenery while watching youtube until the next corner comes up. This thing is agonizingly slow. Continued the stint for a second lap, invalidated at Wipperman with a promising -1.4 delta and though: yeah I'm out (for today-ish). Kudos to the ones grinding this.

A genuinely love the idea of throwing around a modestly-powered hatchback around the Nordschleife. I’ll definitely have to see how I do for this one!
 
What I found the most interesting part of @Tidgney 's lap guide for the Nurburgring TT is the ample usage of 4th gear. I drove my 3 laps in A/T but will try M/T keeping @Tidgney 's ghost as inspiration.

Also love the fact that despite SM tyres, the car is able to develop good amount of grip through the corners. Because of this, we can throw the car around medium speed corners with ease making it fun.

At the end, who can ride & tame the kerbs the best will be able to post a great time.

P.S. - Is it even possible to get an invalidated time in this TT? Firstly, the car has superior grip & even if the car starts to understeer, going off-throttle negates it.

It's possible when you go all wheels off course or hit a barrier. But I think I get your point, this car feels so controllable around this course.
This will probably be the first time I'll manage gold on a Nürburgring TT, my time is currently at 08:25.0x, barely Top 100 😄
