Dear Mr. Rhodri Williams,

Regarding your T500 RS.

We would like to know what do you refer to when saying "throttle".:dunce:

Thank you for your collaboration.

We are looking forward to your answer.

really WTF

not taking sides, but if he used the google translator for this word (english to portuguese) he must be confused now, or thinking you are a killer...lol.

Just make sure its loose enough and soften the front. I did about 5 laps and improved to a 1.46.6 with all aids off (including ABS).

can you help me? what are the settings to make it loose and soften? in which range?

Be interested to see how that pans out.

Had a few runs at Madrid and golded with the '09. Enough for that now.

Heres the tune that I've been using for the Yellow-Hat '05.
Did a 45.8s but it's still a b*tch to drive.

So it's all change then. I had about half an hour last night to try out the new improved Toms Woodone Supra. Oil change and a rough tune then a few laps got me 0.5 seconds on my best in the Loctite NSX and up 1000 places. Then I had to go out. Tonight I've got the house to myself and all the time in the world and the server is down for 12 hours. Brilliant.

Can't you still play online though?

It does...1 PS3 wont let me get into any account :ouch:! That is what I get for posting about me getting on the other ones!
Is PS3 not updated to latest firmware on PS3 that does not allow you to sign in. Might help.

From the PSN site

This maintenance will start at approximately 4.00pm GMT and last until around 4.00am GMT on 18th January. During the maintenance period, you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access PSN.

The PlayStation Store and Account Management will not be available during the maintenance period but you WILL be able to access online play and apps provided that you have signed into PlayStation Network at some point between now and the time of the maintenance. So please be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during Thursday’s maintenance window."

Opposite for me. 4.31 lets me log in and the one PS3 with 4.30 wont let me log in.

Fixed typo. Forgot to add extra not. Anyway are you going to update to latest firmware on PS3 that won't let you log in?

It gave me the option but worried with all the current events going on ...letting it be till a few hours after the maintenace is done. That account has most of my cars that I need to transfer out of and rarely use it.

@ numbnuts70...not sure how you drove that set up. Really feels heavy on the nose and not to much crazy tire spin...so I am having issues with braking.

Is the set up for the wheel by chance? My set up was heading down that direction but it just isnt working for me. Starting to drop places quicker then yesterday!

Thanks for the suggestion but I just updated from 4.30 to 4.31 and it's made no difference. I'll just have to wait until tomorrow.
I can only imagine for it not working is probably they only count 4.31 previous sign ins as valid or just plain unlucky. I suppose you can still practice offline though 👍.

You should backup your save on to a USB memory stick if you haven't already. Do you not have the account on other PS3 with latest save? It should be safe to update PS3 firmware as any other time.

👍 Yeah I back up daily on the other ones. This one I mainly send out from and little receiving. It has a few days old back up in it.

In this setup the tuner has adjusted the car's roll centers for the effect he/she was after. They have adjusted the shock absorbers to suit the altered ride height (roll centers), but they haven't altered the rear spring rate to suit.

-I'd subtract up to 10kgf/mm from the rear spring rate. eg experiment with a range of 5.8kgf/mm to 10.8kgf/mm for the rear spring rate.
This should keep the setup roughly the same, but the car should become more stable as you approach 5.8kgf/mm for the rear spring rate.
This will "adjust" the rear spring rate to suit the tune.

Note:
-If the car feels too soft over all then increase the front spring rate by a range of:
(default kgf/mm) + (0 to 8kgf/mm)
But this would significantly change the cars setup.

Thanks for the feedback citycar 👍

I'm by no means a tuner,I just posted that setup because it was what I was using and that it might help some people but I'll definitely try out your suggestions. :)

Yeah,I'm having the same trouble :)

Understeer on turn-in and understeer on the power as well

I'm just driving round it atm.

Would welcome any advice to cure the power understeer-on the 2nd double apex corner before the long straight and 1st tunnel, the ghost I'm chasing looks like he can go full throttle, whereas I've got to wait to get on the power and its costing me at least 3 or 4 tenths. :grumpy:

I don't believe this. Still can't log-in. The maintenance was extended to 18.30 today and it's even overrun that. That's 26 hours. WTF are they doing?

ETA

10pm is their new deadline. I've got my Yellowhat tuned up ready, done a few pratice laps (haven't got the Motegi track unfortunately) and now I've to stay sober enough to drive at 10 o'clock. I'm not best pleased.

For YMS Supra '05, you can try my suspension + LSD tune, I ran it without ABS, a bit loose under heavy braking and exits, should be good with ABS 1. The car has stock weight distribution 53/47, only 10kg ballast at 0, max aero, currently sits at 600PP at 648HP, haven't done oil change yet. 500+miles on the odo.

LSD
Initial Torque : 7
Acceleration Sensitivity: 10
Braking Sensitivity: 5

Suspension :
Front, Rear

Ride Height: 5 5
Spring Rate: 11.1 11.8
Dampers (Extension): 6 8
Dampers (Compression): 3 4
Anti-Roll Bars: 6 5
Camber Angle: 2.4 1.8
Toe Angle: 0.05 0.27

For a looser feel, reduce rear toe to 0.05 and front toe -0.05.

Brake Balance :
10/7 or for wheel user : 5/3 - if good at trail braking ( no ABS ), for ABS 1 : 9/6

Ah i didn't realise it was your tune, though, i did suspect. You`re several seconds faster then me, i hope it helps and you can go faster.

Gears.?

For Montegi the Supra seems to be the better car.
Might have another look at the YellowHat, but the Supra got me 1.3 secs off the YellowHat and the NSX.
Into 79th with 1:46.263.

Theoretical best over 10 laps 1:46.048
