Time trials and drift trials.

Do you get any prize money. I've done a bunch and best I've mustered was about 1200 place. Do I get anything for these or is it just a race for getting a place online?

When you get around 100th place, you'll know what the point is.

Push yourself, push your car. Try another setup. Repeat and rinse.

Did you buy GT5 to drive/race, or to earn credits? Depending on that answer they may or may not have a point.

At our local autox the winner gets a high five and a "congratulations". Depending on your point of view, it's pretty pointless but it doesn't stop people from spending thousands of dollars on their tires.

There are a lot of users that love to show off their taste of speeding

but

who has competed before for anything in life, does know that when there is a reward, the competition is much more powerful

I enjoy the trials more than anything else... I'm 56th on one of them right now..... or I was earlier today. lol once I start getting in top 100..... thats when my adreneline gets going. especially driving without any aids and using my setup....

I used to drive with the aids on but forced myself to turn them all off, and to actually drive the car, not let the pc drive for you... its much more fun, and I have trouble not spending every minute of my free time on GT5 doing the trials...

I've done a few just to see how my driving stacks up against other people who play the game. I just enjoy pushing myself and my car as far as possible for that extra tenth of a second reward.

The drift trials is the only way in GT5 to actually compete in drifting. Its great fun!

Just wish they could make online drift races available. I mean why didnt they in the first place?
