Tips on the FGT Championship?

I never changed any settings ... just used racing soft tyres as they have more grip so turn corners better :)

First few races are fairly easy to win ... Coté D'Azure is a tricky one so a decent position is vital ... the nurburg race is a walkover because the AI always spin off in the last chicane to give you an easy win and tsukuba is a nightmare :( IF you figure out before suzuka how many points difference there is and whose in second then if you fail at the race just aim at pushing him off the track when he comes back around so he doesnt score points either then its all good :D

1st few races "FIARLY" easy to win? hehe.. ive spent an entire hour trying to get to know the FGT and she doesnt wanna know me.. In plain words, I SUCK.. haha.. anyway, any cornering tips? TCS? thanks

The last race is Suzuka and it's raining, not Tsukuba, and it was easy, just keep the race softs on and don't change to rain tires, I lapped the field doing this

What settings did you use to win it? Im using a dualshock 3.. thanks!!

Try this tune.

I struggled with FGT always coming in last on the first race. With this tune the car became much easier to control and actually felt like a different car. I ended up winning the championship and golded each race except 4th on Coté D'Azure. I think you will like this tune. BTW: I'm using the DF wheel but it should work for the controller.

There a loads of threads in the tuning section that you can look through. Best advice is to find a tune you are comfortable with and spend a day doing individual races with it until you are used to how the car handles. Then maybe try the championship. Don't expect it to be anywhere as easy as the other competitions....it's tough!!

I was going to try and do this race tonight as I have been putting it off because of the alleged toughness, will let you know how hard/easy I have found it tomorrow?

Its the 20 laps that killed me. I'd be in first place 17-18 laps, spin out and end up in last place on the last lap. after what seemed like hundreds of attempts I gave up on it and now just use my FGT to grind in B Spec. The car is just to quick for my arthritic response time.

Be sure to get the top speed dialed in on the gearbox...this is crucial...otherwise you will reach your top speed 1/3 of the way down the straight on Fuji and never come close at Monaco. Eke out the most top speed as you can for each course, even a little bit more then you need, the taller gears will help a bit in controlling wheel spin.

Apart from the two 24 hour races and the 9 hour race, this is the only series that I haven't completed. I have managed to get gold in 4 of the 6 events races on their own but when I get into the championship mode, I usually give up after spinning off in the first race, aarrgghh.

I can never overtake anything either in the Monaco course :nervous:

I have tried a few races just to get the feel of it. Haven't had enough time to knock of the whole championship yet, but just out of curiosity do you need to pit / does AI pit?
