I'm telling you straight up; you are not winning any friends here. First the release of a half finished game, then making us wait for patch after patch that still doesn't fix it (1.06 notwithstanding), now this ridiculous nonsense about only trading one car per day per PS3? My son and I play on the same machine. Now we have to choose who gets to trade that day. Just plain stupid.

Seriously, get your act together, because at this rate, GT5 will not only be my first GT game, it will be my last, and that is no joke.

The fact of the matter is if your son needs to drive one of your cars, he can borrow it as long as you set it to online and vice versa.

It's to stop people duping cars on many accounts and just taking advantage of the system.

I think it's a good thing. And the game is more than half finished.

But I'll agree more needs to be added, but we're getting there.

I feel more sorry for my friends who don't have the internet and are playing the original version of GT5.

Thank you PD for the last update v1.07 especially for Cars worth over 1,000,000 Cr. (including gift car coupons) are now prohibited from being "GIFTED".
Thank you very much 👍

And when the game was delayed for months and months you whinged and you whined. When the game was released, you whinged and you whined some more. Are you never pleased?

Put your cars on Share slots and share them.

Where is the exact problem?

Actually, I had never heard of Gran Turismo before I bought this. Or at least I hadn't noticed it. I didn't whine, though I will admit to complaining about having to pay $60 for a Beta of a game...

Because we don't always trade with each other. There are other people out there. I couldn't give a rat's ass about the 1 mil limit, but one trade per day per machine is idiotic. If I loan a car, I can't use it, and I like to trade to collect cars I don't have.

GT5 is a quality product, if you want to cry about being sold a Beta then go over with the rest of them on the TDU2 forums, and perhaps get a real taste of what its like to play a faulty game.

You're being quite pathetic over something so small, do you not have any problems in your life that something you don't like in a computer game, a personal taste matter at that, is such a massive deal?

Get a grip.

Well said. 👍

Yes PD, please listen to THIS kind of people and you're halfway to a killzone fiasco. But I guess you are there already.

Of all the things that needed fixing, gifting is what they focused on. Very good.

Yet another 'love it or leave it' post that has absolutely no bearing on the conversation. If you can't face facts, that's you problem. PD screwed up again and it's that simple.

*Inserts cool story bro picture*.

Thankyou for your opinion, unfortunately opinions are not fact.

GT5 is a quality product

Tell you what there, sport. Let's go make someone a Pacemaker. But let's not finish it first before we implant it. Then when we do finish it, we'll only fix certain parts at one time, change parts that are already working, and concentrate on parts that are irrelevant considering the other problems with the pacemaker. Some of the things we fix, aren't going to actually work right at all...

It's a quality product, though. Can we install that in your chest?

Oh yeah, and still no Seasonal updates...

Fanboys...

Yes you throw around the totally unrelated comparisons and the fanboy naming! Very mature, i hope you instate these lessons onto your son, set a fine example.

All of this is matter of opinion, there is no factual arguement taking place. I am done posting in this thread.

All the best.

Its just PD/Sony's way of hinting you should buy another PS3. Just like forcing you to pause mid-Championship instead of providing a save option.

Seeing how the fanatic religious GT zealots are celebrating now that PD has broken the game for many others you would think that especially the hardcore elitist fanbase takes this game too seriously. Not the 'traders' for whom the game has now lost a lot of its original appeal.

Well you should have bought Prologue then... you could have paid $100 for a beta game...

I feel the same way about the traders as I do about the photomode nerds but at least on the latter, it was a deliberate design decision from Kaz... albeit in poor taste. Speaking as hardcore elitist fan of GT series, this racing game lacks races and difficulty, the two things the patches have yet to bring to the game. Seasonal events provide some new events, but they are geared to one set difficulty and not tiered, it's rather boring and bland.

Race and difficulty are found online so they arent missing. It's just you that is missing a part of the game.

GT series was never a hard game. Never ever. I always end up wining my races with lots of time ahead even when I was struggling on driving licence. The only way to make it hard was to Time Attack and then exchange your times with friends and try to beat them (I did that a lot on previous versions). So yeah.

This is one of the most down to earth posts I have seen on this forum. And now people are whining about a pacemaker and a game not being a good comparison. Well he is trying to tell you that you are, indeed, acting a bit fanboy-ish. Someone said it's a quality product. It just isn't! That is exactly what he just explained to you through the pacemaker story. This dude has his own meaning, and frankly, I agree. I am thinking of selling my copy of GT5.

It's not a bad game, certainly not, but it is not complete. Come on, 6 years and you still have to fix problems through patches? Get you act together.

I could rant and rant about how everything it promises, it does not do, but I'll stop here, because no-one is going to give a good, friendly, reply in which he or she tells me in a friendly manner why I'm wrong, I am so open to that, but almost no-one on this forum ever does.

Laggy response time, car jitters, and glitchy physics aren't my ideal racing conditions. Besides, PD themselves never wanted this to be an online racing game, they only gave in due to pressure from Sony. For a game that's suppose to be about A-spec racing experience, the AI is rudimentary and reminds me of something I would expect from a mid-90s Need for Speed title.

Well the new patch doesnt bother me because i have all the 1000.... cars (my X1 was earned the hard way)

But if you ask me they should have baned trading cars wich are worth over 3-4 mil - that would really make sense

But 1 mil is tooo low - 3 mil should be ok, 5 mil max

Where do you get 6 year of development on GT5, and please tell me which game did get patched in last three years, and works without any bugs and flaws.
Please tell me, i want to know!?

why are people so upset about not being able to gift 1,000,000 cr cars. The only time I gifted something is when my friends PS3 ylod'd and he lost his data. I like to play GT5 like ive played every other GT, without this gifting feature.

hey guys.
I'm a software developer and this thing about duplicate cars and trading bothers me but the solution they found bothers me even most.

here is my solution:

Let's suppose I'm starting the game today.First time I save it, it would create an integer value on my PS3 and on the save file.
Every time I save this value would be incremented.
If I backup my save and then I give a car it will save automatically right.
So when I try to run the previous save it wouldn't run cause the integer associated to the game is different then the one associated with the saving file.

get it PD or do I need to make a draw?

Microsoft Flight Simulator X...

It had two updates that were pretty much geared to help it run better on older machines, but that's about it.

Look, if GT5 were no fun at all, then I wouldn't be here still to write about it. I do have fun with it, but even the most diehard fan of the series has to admit that PD has been a bit 'unfocused' as to their goals, especially on the post release. They're bouncing around all over the place with these patches, and changing things that didn't need changed in the first place (Seasonals). It's like they're bipolar or something.

Why not just tie the car level to the race level? That way you couldn't take the X2010 in the Sunday Cup (hilarious on B-Spec) and could only use it on appropriate levels. The player would have to earn the right to use the car and people could trade all day long without worrying about cheating.

that would allow people to duplicate the cars. My problem is with that.
