hey guys.
I'm a software developer and this thing about duplicate cars and trading bothers me but the solution they found bothers me even most.
here is my solution:
Let's suppose I'm starting the game today.First time I save it, it would create an integer value on my PS3 and on the save file.
Every time I save this value would be incremented.
If I backup my save and then I give a car it will save automatically right.
So when I try to run the previous save it wouldn't run cause the integer associated to the game is different then the one associated with the saving file.
get it PD or do I need to make a draw?
You PS3 disk crashes and you do not have matching integer values when you use your back up on the new machine.
You are really trading and the other one does not honor the deal and you want to go back to the situation before the trade.
....
It is complex as an issue, I saw more a removal of the exploit in serial numbers on cars, checking them in a central database and removing duplicates automatically. But it is not worth the programming/storage effort IMHO.

For the thead theme:
I'm a Gran Turismo fan boy, GT5 certainly did not change that.
GT6 will be even better, but will still leave room to improve to get to GT7, ....
