I originaly got the Xbox version hoping it would work on the 360, thus playing it online and on the HDTV, but it didn't work. Shows I needed to do a little research before I bought it. Oh well, because the game is so hard I need the best controls as possible.
 
Woo I'm 10 bucks within playing this game! So I might be getting it this weekend or early next week. Just wondering, how big is the game save on the memory? Cause I have around 200kb in my memory card of free space.....
 
The original game save is 210K (at least that's what the game wants to be free), but I don't know if it grows.
I haven't checked that.

Na I'd rather get another memory card, I'm not a fan of buying cheat devices. Oh well I know how I can get PS2 memory cards for free.
Oh ya, another question, how many players can we have online in a room?
 
Then get a MaxDrive (don't know if it's the same as an AR Max) but a MaxDrive isn't a cheat device, it just let's you backup game saves onto your PC. If you have any game you don't want to delete the saves of but haven't played for a while take them off you memory card and put them on your PC, simple as. No need to every buy another memory card again.
 
Christ, is it me, or is the PS2 version a mile harder than the Xbox version? I'm getting so frustrated with it...

I thought you went to the ps2 version because it was easier for you? You need to make up your mind. :lol:
There are soo many adjustments in the game to make it as easy or as hard as you want.

Well, I'm certainly not Christ, but I'll try and answer the question anyway...

I have heard just that... The PS2 version has certain aspects that may be a bit more difficult...

In World Tour, I have hit the preverbial wall... I haven't put much effort into it yet (and I'm using Pro Sim mode, of course) but pitting me against TVR's with an MRS, just seems unfair... They just pass me like I was standing still... I assume this race is to be won in the corners, but I have yet to be succesful...

What race with an MRS?

The only series with TVRs in (IIRC) is the British GT, which I don't remember having an MRS in, even so are you sure the TVRs are in the same class as you? You may find they are in a different series and you are not racing directly against them.

I'm sorry,not an MRS... It's the Vauxhall... It is the British GT, and you're right... I'm in the Cup class... As I said, I've only really spent a few minutes on this race, thus far... Something that I am planning to remedy immediately...

I'm having a lot of fun with this game... Much better than Toca 2...

I must say, this game has some of the most realistic FWD physics I have ever felt... At least the most enjoyable...

You know what's fun? Reversing the Clio 182 and driving side to side.
 
Anyone ever get that thing where when you watch motorsport on TV you get the craving to play it in a game? e.g. you watch F1 and suddenly want to play an F1, watch rally want a rally game etc...TOCA has all of this so its the only game thats ever gonna be needed:D I for one might have a full length Bahrain grand prix later :p

True, but I want it has hard as possible. I don't want to take away realism from a game if know it can be more real. It's more satisfying and challenging.

Man, thats why I gotta get this game....Damn this 10 dollars short of getting it! Then I need to somehow find an extra 210kb on my memory card! Actually If they carried toca 3 at Zellers here I could have gotten it and some memory cards with the Zellers points my dad has! We have over a million I believe.

Anyone with the PS2 version played the game online yet? If so, how is it? How many people are usually on? Oh and what are the online feautres? E-mail, buddy lists? We need to start having little gtp competitions online!
 
Just driven the BMW Williams F1, feels great, and it's soooo fast!

The only thing i don't like about theis game is doing the boring championships first (well not boring, less fun i guess) like GT lights before you can drive the awesome cars. But that's just me.
 
Managed to clock another session on this massive, straight after the GP on Sunday, seems like a fever here, dying to test that damn Williams, so i experimented w/ 85% on prosim settings and managed to reach the 'b' 4wd in GT, also took the lawnmowers & a NSX or two out for some handling 'feel' from the Honda discipline.Just the Off-Road & Touring Car remain unstarted by me.
Wish i had the necessary arrangement to indulge this game more fully as its at least as absorbing as 4 imo. It has been mooted that Enthusia has the most satisfying handling phys.eng but i have'nt played it, TRD3 though stacks up large in terms of 'realistic' behaviours & feel from my brush w/it so far; the GT light for example ime quite certain is a flyer & a rumbler bouncer IRL, these machines are volatile track beasts, the Caterham, the Atom all oversteer generously & deliver power w/ the quirky intensity of their plucky little metal counterparts.

Anyways, Sunday was a bit of a Hard-On :)

I might finally get a chance to play this tonight for at least an hour. I wish I could just sit down for an entire day and just play this so I cold make some progress. I think this weekend I will get some time in for sure.
